I'm quite happy that you changed the backs. Please don't be discouraged by the naysayers.

I'm sorry, Jackson, I may have exaggerated a bit and you probably took it more to heart than you should have, but I was just stating what it seemed like to me. It may not have been intentional, but if you waited until the approval to go through you obviously could have announced it earlier. Though it was announced before it was sold out, so no harm done I guess.

EDIT: Btw, does the Bicycle branded LE deck not have black backs, only the box? That's what it seems like, but it's not stated anywhere.

Only the Unbranded Black box has the black backs. There are pictures at the bottom of the main page with a graphic of the box, back and KoS so you know what you are getting.

Thanks MagicFingerz. I actually didn't approach USPC about the Black Back run until about 3 days before I released. I had enough backers that expressed the want that it seemed like the right play. For all the people that felt like they got burned some how there are a few black decks left and they have been available for the last hour and half so any one that wanted one, I feel like I have given them ample time to grab one if they really would like one.

Is that a custom brick box in the background? I'd love to have that as an add on!

Ah yes, I see it now on the latest update. Too bad it's not an actual brick box. Curious what the price point will be, but I guess it's only a matter of time before the goal is reached.

Not sure what you mean by "not an actual brick box"

A brick is 12 decks, the box holds 12 decks. Ergo, a brick box. ??

I meant in the way the type of box Randy sold which can be used to display the cards as well. But I agree that it was ambiguous and bad wording on my part.

@Jackson: if that box holds 12 decks, ima need you to come up with two more decks bro!

Or, let's just say two more boxes, since we really only have five decks to begin with anyway... amiright? ;)

I'm not sure that box would even survive shipping to Hong Kong. =S.

They just announced a new stretch goal of a James Madison court. JM was my favorite founding father. Author of the Federalist papers he explained to the people what the thought was behind much of the Constitution. Unfortunately, the pricks at the Supreme Court refuse to refer to the Federalist papers although they will take private correspondence by that dandy Jefferson and make it gospel. Anyway, should be a nice card

This project is just about to surpass the first Federal 52 campaign in funding. Jackson now has the 2nd and 3rd most successful KS playing cards campaigns. (or the top two if you look at "name of the wind" as an exception, which i sort of do).

Congrats Jackson! The quality of your work speaks for itself, but you have also run exceptional KS campaigns. You deserve your success. Can't wait to get my first decks of your cards - still a long way off i'm afraid. :(

I know it all boils down to personal preference; but if you guys could only afford three decks (one is the limited edition unbranded black) what would your choices be? I'm torn between one of each unbranded and branded SC and RN decks. :)

I would go with the unbranded decks. (unless you a bike man) The overall design and composition works better without the Bicycle Logo. That is always the drawback when designing with the Bicycle Logo, you always have to design around and have no choice but to use their font choice and size.

This is just a personal opinion, but I think every deck looks better with the Bicycle logo on it.

Thanks!

Man, I'm a stickler for uniformity. But seeing as the LE deck is unbranded I might as well make the RN and SC unbranded; then I'll keep my fingers crossed that when Jackson releases F52 I to the non Kickstarter crowd I can grab a set of unbranded decks. That way, the series can be uniform. :)

Maybe Jackson can do the East Coast a favor and announce it when everyone can get a chance? Not too early, not too late. Juuuuuust right. ;)

I'm with you Eoghann, I snagged one of the black unbranded LE decks and was just planning to get the unbranded versions to go with it, but now I'm thinking about getting one of each of the Branded as well. I wish I could afford to get multiples of each so that I can have opened and unopened ones, but that's too expensive. My real dilema now is, if I wanted to get 2 extra to open (1 RN & 1 SC), which should they be...branded or unbranded?

If I could afford it, I'd leave the three unbranded untouched and get a branded RN and SC to open. :)

I would like to pledge for the RS1 Tier ($44) but it does not include the black unlimited Bicycle Reserve Note - are we able to add it to this pledge tier (RS1) through backer kit? Thanks!

Short answer - yes - just add on $20 now and you can specify the Black unlimited using Backertkit

I think the bicycle branded decks make better display pieces, I plan on opening the unbranded to play with, man those cards are beauties.

Or you can wait and add the $20 for the deck in the backerkit checkout.

Exactly!

I learnt my lesson on Part 1 - spent ages working out exactly how much it was going to be with various add-ons (mainly unbranded decks) and international shipping, and then confirming it with Jackson - but I could have just gone into Backerkit with whatever pledge I had, added all this stuff on and checked out with my credit card for the difference. Much, much, much simpler.

With Part II, I've just started with a LE deck pledge, and thrown a bit of additional money on the pledge - but know that I'll end up checking out of Backerkit with a whole pile more stuff when that day comes.

Re: Branded v. Unbranded: Unbranded all the way. Branded compromises the design IMHO. (That said, I'll obviously get one of each for my OCD collection to be complete :-))
