As an outside observer with nothing on the line, if it were anyone other than Lotrek with these delays, everyone would be raging, and it would be justified. I get that many are confident that he'll eventually deliver a great product. And I'm sure that will be true for those that love his decks. But the delays have grown weeeeell beyond the level of absurd. If Gio hadn't delivered a main Patreon reward in 2 plus years, I'd be demanding my money back. Same for Jocu with Inner circle.
Yes, you're absolutely correct!
I strongly believe diving into the rabbit hole that's collecting Lotrek decks is for serious collectors only. At first glance, you may think that's very arrogant or snobbish, but those that know, realize you have to be dead serious that his decks are worth the $ and long delays.
For some fun reading, do read Lotrek's Kickstarter updates on the sheer amount of different, uncontrollable problems that he has faced. From forest fires in Greece, customs idiocy, to a warehouse fire.

I get what you're saying, but personally, I think Lotrek is overrated. That's why I don't bother with his more expensive decks or his Patreon. I don't think they are worth the money and certainly not the delays.
Lotek is definitely a niche producer and not for everybody, especially most of his limited hot foil decks. I guess he appeals to enough to make a decent living at it. The one thing I do like is that he does put put some really nice affordable decks as well, so as not to limit his stuff to just the super high end things. I personally can't get enough, but I recognize that I am....not normal. I am okay with my abnormalities. I am sure Lotrek is fine with it as well.

For those who might check here before checking their emails (I remember some people mentioning this), Redemption II and III are now on sale at https://www.oathplayingcards.com/ for Patrons only. Check your latest Patreon post.

Yep, I picked up mine. I was a bit slow as usual. I forgot that you have to go to the Patreon members site rather than the standard sales page.
At least they didn't sell out in the typical half-second...or I would have been toasted again. At least even if I missed them I would still get my one each as a patient Patron.
So, we have a nice looking Golden Rule deck. That is a Patron deck I think? It has been so long....

Looks like there were plenty of stock for these ones to not rush buying them.
Yup, Golden Rule is the Year 2 Patreon reward, expected to arrive around May as of now. I would expect an unfoiled version for public sale and/or a variant for the redemption tuck (maybe?).
Year 1 Patreon Rewards
• Royal Silk Red
• Royal Silk Red - Gold/Silver ("gift deck")
• Patrons
Year 2 Patreon Rewards
• Golden Rule
• Royal Patrons
I'm out of the loop so apologies in advance if this was asked already; I'm a Dayone so I automatically get one of the II and III without doing anything, aight?

Clarification of kevork: Yes, unless you were a dayone patron in the lowest tier Oath PC patron, which had no tangible rewards. Then, you do not get one each. However, you can purchase them in this sale.
I just want to clarify that those early patrons that were in the lowest tier do not get free redemption decks.
Personally, I was more interested in Redemption III deck as it is a hot foiled deck. For 30 Euro and free shipping, that was an easy grab my 4 bag limit. I just picked up one extra Redemption II deck. If that is hot foiled, please let me know, but it didn't look like it. I still wanted an extra I could open though.

Thanks for clarifying Bradius. I haven't seen or heard anything to suggest Vol. II is hot foiled beyond the tuck itself. Just a color swap of Oath Standard Players.
I see you have updated the volumes. I just checked and noticed that Redemptions Vol is now sold out. That took a lot longer than I thought. I hope everyone here got any additional decks they wanted.

In the past, I never collected Test decks. Of the recent ones, most of these test decks look official with no flaws.
That is why I tend to go for Lotrek's foiled test decks. You typically get a lot of greatness for a fairly low price point.
The Crazy Squirrel Deck Hunter - Hunt decks to extinction
Looks like some people abused the honor system and tried to buy more than their allotment of Redemption decks. Totals have been updated now that Lotrek cancelled those orders. For those Patrons who missed Vol. II, now's your chance! It seems he's trying to do print runs that satisfy the crazy collectors who want multiple copies, while also doing his best to ensure all his patrons can get a copy too.
I suspect Lotrek won't ship these decks to Deallez and Woundedcorner until they're both sold out so he can know how many to send to each region. Saves on shipping costs on his end too, which I would completely understand.
It appears Lotrek has figured out the market sweet spot, which is nice IMHO. I hated when the decks would sell out in seconds.
Interestingly, the Arabesque Error didn't sell out for over a day, with no limit at all on how many you could purchase! Also, it was on sale for half the cost of the finished version. It was an easy purchase for me, just to be able to enjoy the imperfect deck for awhile while waiting on the final issue.

I hope nobody tried to use a stupid robot to buy a large quantity. Got to thoroughly read these Lotrek updates.
Not sure about robots, but my dog really likes playing cards as well... Just kidding...maybe.

Yeah - I went pretty light on these and just picked up a pair of the icons - but don’t remember seeing the patreon post - I found out about the remaining stock here
I only went for one of each to go with my one of each that I'll get with my Patreon. I'm low on storage space and have cut way back and will likely be selling off soon so no point to buy a lot more than I really want or need.
I use the app. Convinient indeed. I heard from this drop via all three channels: UC, Patreon and email. I'm like bdawg though, not interested in any further decks than what I receive anyways. Purchasing more test decks doesn't make sense to me personally. If I eat in a three star restaurant, I'm not going to eat leftovers during waiting time. I get why people like Lotrék's leftovers though, since they still are above and beyond of 80% what gets put out by others.
Purchasing more test decks just makes sense to support Lotrék from my POV but after being a Patreon for three years (when this cycle ends) I'm a little thin skinned to support him further. Especially with other hobbies that have become far more enjoyable during the last year.
I still love and respect Lotrék as an artist and even as a comedian but yah... I'll wait for the real deal to arrive before giving more money to him.
I guess similar is the main reason for them going slow.
Patreon has stopped responding to my emails ever since the rep I was working with quit. I sent them an email today giving them 48 hours to respond with an update or I will file a complaint with the BBB. I encourage all other Oath Patrons to do the same. I am going to send Lotrek a message asking him to post on Patreon suggesting the same.
It can accomplish something - as many look there before leaping, but that may be less effective for something like patreon (where people are joining to support an artist and feel like they are dealing directly more or less)
From what I see they at least respond to each complaint - so you may get your wheels greased by complaining there.
I would gladly support the folks I support over paypal, and they can email me instead of posting or set up a password protected site, or any dang thing - don’t see the purpose of Patreon at all
