I sent these decks to Tim to review because I felt it was important for the community to be able to appreciate them, especially when many don't get the opportunity to. As expected, he knocked it out of the park by providing some historical background, technical knowledge, and honest opinions. Please subscribe to him if you haven't already!

TheCardGuyYT wrote:Well, #freethepipfriday is all about opening up some rarities, and few get better than Damask from Oath Playing Cards. Special thanks to @kevork for making this possible! Lotrek is a technical mad scientist when it comes to playing cards, and Damask is a perfect example of his experimentation with foils. So enjoy this look at one of the most unique foil decks you will find anywhere!

Thanks for letting TheCardGuy do a review on this deck. I have never opened my Blue Damask decks, so it was really nice to see it in all its glory. It really does showcase the incredible artistry that Lotrek can deliver. If a niffler saw one, they would pass all other decks and go for this one. From what I understand, that deck hit the limit for number of hot foil stampings that Lotrek is ever likely to do. Even this small production level took considerable effort to produce.

It looks like Lotrek does have plans for a Damask 2.0. Hang onto your wallet, and be prepared to wait...then get a good pair of dark sunglasses on before opening that one. 8-)

You're very welcome! It looks like the review is having its intended effect, which I am thankful for. For Lotrek to be able to hot stamp 4 different foils so intricately and precisely on those court cards, along with foiling on the backs of the cards is just unfathomable to me. We shall see what Damask 2.0 entails as he did mention a redesign. I'm really curious.

Also loved the niffler reference. This is definitely one of those decks that would catch your eye from the other side of the room.
