Jackson said on the KWP Discord that Apple Pi is launching on Kickstarter for a week-long campaign next Wednesday (Feb. 8)

A while ago, back when he first began the occasional "Dawn's Early Light" series, he gave a peak at the Apple Pi backs. At the time, he said the design was completed and ready to go, but then he sat on it. I cant recall if this is the same design or not, though.Eric Lee wrote: ↑Mon Feb 06, 2023 9:11 pm KS is a good way to see public interest in such a deck and gain exposure as well to the general public. KWP isn't known for cardistry and the last Pi deck was over 3 yrs old. So he can gauge if it's worth commiting the time to such a series.
Does anyone know if JR did the design himself or was it done by June?
She does the Table Players mostly for certain. JR did mention it when he introduced her officially and when he went through how he did the TP decks. She picks the designs and goes through the final list with JR on which ones are selected. Then they work on the final design before letting her complete the deck.
This is clearly Jackson's attempt at a cardistry deck, so with that in mind he hits a lot of necessary points design-wise. It would all be for naught if he went with his mystery printer because the finish and handling would be woefully insufficient for cardistry purposes.Adamthinks wrote: ↑Mon Feb 06, 2023 5:05 pm I think he's using the mystery printer for all decks now. I'm undecided on if I like this design or not. What do you all think?
For me, it's perhaps a bit of completionismPiazzaDelivery wrote: ↑Tue Feb 07, 2023 10:31 am I see a couple comments in this thread saying they will back despite not particularly liking the design. Is this a completionist thing, or what? Doesn't make much sense to me.
Kings Wild purchasing their own printing company, confirmed. The Apple Pi deck will be printed by the Kings Wild Playing Card Company.
I was kidding. It's probably just the mystery printer. Just saw how it says KW is printing them, when it's some company they don't want to reveal.
Jackson also posted the empty sticker sheet on Discord in case anyone missed the first two decks
seems like KS is nearly always the lowest price. i would back there if you are interested.
I am already inside. It's just my second thoughts on getting the sticker - I don't own the original passport for the Pi Series, as well as I got the Plum and Chocolate Pi from the aftermarket.STLBluesNut wrote: ↑Thu Feb 09, 2023 9:07 amseems like KS is nearly always the lowest price. i would back there if you are interested.
