Villa Beluno by Kevin Cantrell (Cantrell A Priori 002) with TGW
Here's a preview as some WIP images of the Villa Beluno deck. The second of the planned CAP (Cantrell A Priori) signature series decks (the first being The Goldsmith).

The Tuck Cases for the mint green and deep blue editions will feature a diptych effect designed to look fantastic in the Walnut carat case.

It might be that we're viewing the images on a screen, but it hurts my eyes to try to read the writing with the way the colors are contrasting. I imagine it'll be different once it's printed on paper stock. It's particularly with the pink and pistachio.

Oh absolutely! The lettering will be in Copper-toned foil and be embossed.

Somehow, the gold on the courts has now pulled me in more than before. The queen of hearts has me a bit confused because the clothing doesn't seem to blend into the middle design as well as the other ones do. I appreciate you sharing the in progress work, Omar!

Very nice colour combination. I like it.
I find it interesting, that the line seperating the back design halfs is kind of a flaw designwise for me in general but in this case it adds to the vintage feel of the deck so I even find it pleasing here.

the design is better than Goldsmith but still not interesting enough for my tastes.

I've got a couple decks with this theme (although their names escape me at the moment). It's a good theme, and well executed here, naturally. If I can afford 'em, I'll be backing/buying.

I'm not usually a fan of his simple courts, but these look pretty nice, and mesh well with the tuck design.
I've spent way more than I care to admit on playing cards, but I'll still buy just about anything that Lorenzo, Jackson, or Gio make.

Omar, will this be similar to the goldsmith with two decks, a coin and a case or will the decks be sold individually?

The Gentleman Wake wrote:For instance the CAP decks are a single SKU. 1 set. no options. no other editions. Just one base price (prob in $100 range). If you bought all 4 sets offered throughout the year it amounts to roughly $33 a month. 8 gilded foiled decks, 4 coins, and 4 premium walnut carat cases. It's very much analogous to a Stockholm 17 or Thirdway Industries patreon.

I’m hoping there might be a chance and stand alone decks might be offered.

Re: Villa Beluno by Kevin Cantrell (Cantrell A Priori 002) with TGW
Wondering if this is still going to be 1000 units? And remember this will even go on preorder long before we even receive the Goldsmith, I wonder how this will have the legs to keep it going at 1000? The earlier you guys can release the full details the better, and please look for some full-blown marketing. Millionaires, even not one of those whiny card collectors, will not even blink an eye to spend on these masterpieces.
Anyway, I'm excited to see the official launch, I'm on the fence so far between those elegant looking courts and a concept that I don't fancy that much. I'm looking for something that will tip me over the edge!![😁](//cdn.jsdelivr.net/gh/twitter/twemoji@latest/assets/svg/1f601.svg)
Sanctuary looks like it will be a bull's eye for me, so it won't make sense to miss out on this one, we'll see. Cheers!

Re: Villa Beluno by Kevin Cantrell (Cantrell A Priori 002) with TGW
Hello! We are still planning on releasing these for Pre-order. But we've encountered some delays out of our control. Namely printer scheduling. I don't want to offer decks without in hand prototypes. I don't believe its fair to customers to not have an accurate representation of the final product. Which is why every TGW release has prototypes. However, because of tight timings and scheduling issues we are in line awaiting printing. Once we have in hand prototypes we will launch the next PO!

Hi TGW, speaking of accurate representation, I believe we didn't have that about the Goldsmith coin. Granted that it got improved by some margin, some customers might be expecting a shiny 24k gold plating all over the coin. If I hadn't stumbled upon this forum I wouldn't have known about the change either.TheGentlemanWake wrote: ↑Thu Jul 06, 2023 2:38 pm Hello! We are still planning on releasing these for Pre-order. Indeed, to that degree, even the cards/tuck boxes go through some changes. But we at least like to show a product in physical form is what I meant. Rather than renders. The cards for VB are ready, however the tuck boxes are still in queue. And having professional pictures of an actual physical product is obviously much better for marketing as well!Disenchanted_11 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 06, 2023 8:08 pmHi TGW, speaking of accurate representation, I believe we didn't have that about the Goldsmith coin. Oh, these will launch before the first CAP was delivered!?
I was hoping a little more time for my wallet to recover...

Based on the fact that Studio Pression still has to print Beetleback prototypes I think there's a bit of time here!

Re: Villa Beluno by Kevin Cantrell (Cantrell A Priori 002) with TGW
An update for customers and future customers:
The Goldsmith production is currently delayed. Cartamundi are experiencing issues with production/planning. They've been a bit vague about the issues. Not sure what could be causing the problems on their end. Just as an example, I placed the order for Beetlebacks Prototypes in MAY (a substantial time prior to launching the Goldsmith pre-order) and those decks have not been produced. In fact I'm being told the small order (only 50 decks) will not potentially be ready until October. This is also affecting the Villa Beluno CAP 002 launch. I will advise when I know more! Just be assured the decks are coming!
