can someone explain what this means
"After a 12-month Patronage in addition to the Silver Patron's tier rewards you will get
2 copies of "Patrons" Playing Cards: A deck designed and printed exclusively for Golden Patrons.
A super rare gem for your collection which will be developed and finalized during the year.
Sure, it means that you're pledged to the "Golden Patrons" tier, which entitles you to what you have written about above, plus all lower tiers, which includes the Patreon posts and 2 copies of one of the year's decks in a color variation that is specific to Patrons.
did this happen and what copies are "Patreons" Playing Cards? silk red?
I would suggest you read the Patreon, everything is outlined pretty clearly over there. The description you wrote above is exactly what it sounds like. "A deck designed and printed exclusively for Golden Patrons". It's an exclusive deck guided by patron feedback.
this is becoming over confusing to say the least
The July 10th, 2022 post outlines all of this quite clearly.
golden rule deck ?
redemption series
codex -is a kickstarter now??
demask -paying for??
harvest -is this even happening still?
golden oath royal tuck/players ed. ??
royal silk red/purple ?
- Golden Rule is the Silver tier reward for year 2. It will feature Mirrorink, a new reflective ink that Oath is very excited about. Color variation specific to patrons.
- Redemption Series is a way to thank year 1 and 2 patrons for their patience. "For each month's delay in the delivery of the Patreon rewards, Patrons from the first 2 years will be getting 1 free deck!" Remember how the first version of Royal Silk Purple was sent out as "Royal Silk Test Print"? Redemption Vol. 1 is the Red version. Full details regarding Redemption is found in like the last 3 Patreon posts (excluding the most recent one). Foil color may vary based on whether you ordered extras.
- Codex will be a kickstarter, yes.
- Damask is detailed in the latest Patreon post. Looks like it will be a re-released 2.0 version. I imagine like Moresque was for Arabesque.
- Radio silence on Harvest for a while now.
- Golden Oath royal tuck/players ed??? I've got no idea what you're talking about. Golden Oath is foil-centric 2017 release. Idk.
- Royal Silk Red is the patron-exclusive color variant. Royal Silk Purple is the public release.
what the hell is going on here?!
can we get a breakdown of whats what & what
ISNT going to cost us more
ffs.
bc this is how i'm getting this/ Opcc designs & produces "rare" decks on the backs of monthly patreons payments & then sells back the decks he makes to patreons "exclusively" when ready to ship or weeks but mostly months away from shippign
am I getting this right? someone pls explain for all of us that DONT understand
Is OPCC meant to cease making their decks available to the larger public because they have a Patreon? Patrons are entitled to the rewards outlined in the tiers to which they have voluntarily pledged. Every new public sale comes with notice, an advanced window and a patron discount. You make it sound like you are forced to buy, but by no means are patrons compelled to purchase decks that are not included in the Patreon rewards. I have no idea why this would be an issue. Lotrek is notorious for delays, and if this is your first experience with Oath, I get the frustration. They have attempted to compensate patrons for waiting by offering Redemption, the gift deck, the foil stamped box, and something tells me more gifts are ahead. Please remember that "when announcing Oath's Patreon I [Lotrek] said the main purpose was to create an environment for the development of decks that are so demanding in terms of artwork and research that wouldn't be possible for me to do without your help."
