Post pics of your playing card collection !

Unread post by CBJ »

Hey guys,

This is always another popular thread. Let's see your collection of cards, display cabinets, storage boxes. etc.

I'll start it off...

I was messing around with my cards the other day. Here are some photos I took.
These were all of my cards as of Sep 13th... but I already have more decks... it just never stops.

Enjoy!

I'll take more extensive photos when a couple more packages come in.

So... whip those decks out boys, and show us what you got.

Decks.. not.. oh, never mind...

The cards with the numbers (2 bottom rows in previous pic) are indeed from the "Heritage Design Series". 4 of those (x2) were indeed bought from T11 and the other 4 from the1eyedjack. The top row is the "Heritage Series", also bought from 1eyedjack. The boxes are different. Hope this helps :)

Hey all

The numbers on the decks do mean something. Each number references one of the 82 original back designs.

You can see all 82 of them here on this amazing chart...

http://www.cypressfilms.com/bicycle/index.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Enjoy

CBJ, your collection is simply awesome. I inspire to one day have a collection with that much depth and breadth... when I see it I picture myself as either Wayne or Garth in your presence going "I'm not worthy! I'm not worthy!" :D

To show a collection on the complete opposite end of yours, here's mine. Just got my first three decks in the mail today... plenty more on the way, but hey, we've all got to start somewhere right??? :)

Image

Quick little note... Growing up as a young boy I was REALLY into Baseball Card collecting... so my collection will be stored in those big 5 column boxes for sports cards. They fit the decks perfectly! Also if you're wondering why the wrappers appear a bit goofy on the corners, it's a protective sleeve (PVC-free) holding the deck (which is also wrapped in its original cellophane). I picked those things up at a local card shop for $2.50 for 100 of them. They should do a great job of protecting my decks as I build my collection up. It also has an adhesive flap like an envelope, so they are basically sealed shut from the elements.

I'll post more as my deck grows. CBJ, you looking to sell some of your decks at any point? :) I saw a couple I'd be interested in sometime in the future - once the KickStarter projects calm down...

I am formatting some pics of my collection to post but meanwhile take a look at this guy:

4000 decks, through networking!

Anyone here with a comparable number? My collection is only around 800.

Actually there are 8172 full decks here. So if you have enough money... :)

I am just joking. My respect to this collector.

Being a very picky collector, who also only buys 1-2 of any deck, my collection is rather small. I do enjoy playing with nearly every one of these decks (only the red Jerry's Nugget is still sealed). Handling the cards and seeing the artistry of each is the primary joy of my collection.

Very nice looking! I have a question for ya Paul. Is the Absolut Deck worth the price I've seen for them? I work with Absolut during my day job, so it would have a special meaning for me. I just haven't pulled the trigger when I've seen it listed on eBay for high prices. I would definitely open up the Deck as well!

BTW, the uncut photos of the Aurum Deck look badass!! Can't wait to get mine.

thanks, Randy
