Gio has just announced a new deck that will be a yearly reward for his Patreon members meeting certain requirements. You are given the option to declare your allegiance to one of four factions. It sounds interesting. Even Patron's can't purchase this deck.

Those who have been patrons for the entire year get one ( or whatever their pledge level is), they just can't buy more.

Adam is correct. The key word in my statement is "purchase". i think that is the way Gio phrased it.

Hello Thanks for posting Devotion!

I confirm what @Adamthinks said.

Most Patrons will receive Devotion automatically as their yearly reward, but no one (even them) can purchase extra copies of the deck.

However, it's possible subscribe for a Patreon yearly membership and get from 1 to 3 copies of Devotion (the max is get a "Massive Sword Yearly Membership" that will grant 3 copies).
The limit of copies per customer is naturally locked at 3

Patrons who have a "Sword" are able to raise their membership to "Longsword" or "Massive Sword" to get more Devotion Decks. Contact me (giovanni@thirdway.it) if you are planning to do this!

You can't directly buy your way to the heavens. However, you can up your enlistment within limits. Just make sure St. Peter has you shown correctly on his list.

Personally, I prefer to just trample my enemies under my feet. Victory is much better than failure, especially if failure is a quick trip to see the Eternal One. Glory to the Eternal One as i have the blood of my heathen brothers on my boots. i am sure the Eternal One will be pleased. (Hey I am a furry mammal with swollen gonads working a machine gun. What else would you expect?)

I think it is simply to build the mystery of the deck. I am thinking of many temples, where anyone can appreciate them on the outside, but to get deeper into the temple, you have to be of a more select group of people/practitioners.

Only in terms of Lore - I'll share a part of the manual I've shared to Patrons

Devotion lore is the story of four secret cults that worship the same entity in very different ways.
The idea is to let people see only the surface, without giving them the chance to go deeper. Only insiders get a closer look, and are allowed into the secrets of Devotion.

Of course I won't be too mad if someone decide to share them - in some ways, I think it's unavoidable in the internet era
