I think T11's new standard is $12. Which I will be perfectly fine paying for this. Not looking forward to all the recolors though..

Re: Lord of the Rings by theory11
Not feeling Kevin Cantrell's vibe nor TXI's. I'm out, even if this deck would cost only $2. I used to see TXI and RS on different levels in the past. Now they've become the same old, same old boring blur of playing card companies, that feel like the fast food franchises of the playing card world to me.

I really hope they continue using different designers for their licensed decks. Kevin's a good start. Makes up for that horrid Notorious BIG deck, kinda.

Re: Lord of the Rings by theory11
Once again, tuck is great, card are meh. This overly simple style just doesn't feel like it has any character. Just feels flat.
I've spent way more than I care to admit on playing cards, but I'll still buy just about anything that Lorenzo, Jackson, or Gio make.

Re: Lord of the Rings by theory11
I dunno. I have to give mad props to the tuck, and the single court card being shown here looks better than some of the other T11 decks of late. I suspect I'll be in for a deck or two of these.

Tuck is just flat line art with embossing and gold foil highlights; I wish I could still see the fun in that.

Re: Lord of the Rings by theory11
i have not bought, and will not buy, any T11 decks from the last 6 months or so for reasons discussed elsewhere and this deck will certainly not change that. T11, and some brands/companies they work with, have made choices that i simply will not support. for the foreseeable future they are on the do not buy list.

Lol... those faces. Decks like these make me understand how it is possible to buy one deck and never ever ever open it. The perfect tuckist deck ... well, perfect if the tuck would be collection worthy.

Any infos on the printer btw? If the pictures are from the actual cards the finish pattern doesn't look like USPCC cards.

It's not like they come from the same designer.

Personally, I really like the design and tuck. For the price, it just makes my interest in picking up a few decks an easy decision.

Where is USPCC mentioned? Jackson e.g. produced decks in the US - one even named Made in USA - which aren't made by the USPCC .

I think they did a much better job with the Star Wars IP. This is at about the same level as that Back to the Future deck.

Re: Lord of the Rings by theory11
Work in Progress, I would need help from LOTR experts
The Lord of the Rings Movie Adaptation
The Lord of the Rings saga is the magnum opus of J.R.R. Tolkien. It is an extensive lore of fantasy adventures filled with magic and creatures in the universe called Middle-Earth. The trilogy novels are adapted into trilogy movies directed by Peter Jackson (he is also directed the Hobbit, adapted from novel of the same name - seperated into trilogy movies). For a better experience in experiencing the full story of The Lord of the Rings, you should read the novels. Although, if you don't have time to read hundreds of pages, you may simply watch the movie adaptations.
Kings Wild Project has also managed to get licences to it, with Jackson Robinson will based on the books. The deck will have one-way courts, featuring characters appearing in their respective books. A total of three volumes will be produce. To follow up "The Lord of the Rings" decks by Jackson, you can go HERE

Thanks. but the rarity issue... That said, Theory11 often offers even these types of decks at decent prices. We will see. I do like the deck design.
