i would have jumped on this price when it came out to get the deck as i like the design and orange is my favorite color. however, i have become even more picky these days and entered into another collecting hobby. decks will have to be really good in design, features and price for me to jump anymore. standard courts and plain glossy tuck aren't going to make the cut.

i would have gotten these when they first released because standard courts werent as much of a turn off as they are now.

i am kind of mixed on this. when this deck was first released, it was only available as part of an escape room puzzle/game. i was very disappointed that i could not get just the deck. i stuck to my guns and did not buy the game to get the deck. on one hand, i feel bad for those that bought the game to get the deck because the deck was not available separately, on the other, i feel like it is nice that he released it without the game.

at the time i felt it was kind of scammy in a way to get people to spend more money to get the deck and this kind of intensifies that. if he had done this release right away i would of thought he listened to the folks and made it available. this feels like he tried to sell the game by having the deck in it and it didnt sell as he had hoped, has all these decks lying around now and is trying to get rid of them.

I was one of those people who bought the escape room game, so yeah I can be upset that it's a standalone deck now, but it is what it is. I was under the impression the decks were in the game box and shrink wrapped, but I guess they printed more decks than games.

I stopped buying 1ST decks after the Bicycle release, and didn't buy V5 and onwards.
