Unfortunately there are no card shops near me, the closest thing are stores selling stationary and comic book shops. I'll be checking out more websites.

Re: 666 Playing Cards - KS
They were $17 + shipping from Riffle Shuffle so that's a great price. Congrats.

Thanks man, I would've bought from riffle but they were sold out.

Dunno what's worse these days, lotusinhand with their weird releases, which piss even hardcore fans of them off, or kickstarters that hide unecessary extra editions (which are basically the same) behind pay walls and minimum purchases.
I'm glad that I'm interested in neither.

Re: 666 Playing Cards - KS
Is there really that much demand for recolors? I can't tell whether the designers are lazy or whether there's a massive contingent that asks for this stuff. On the one hand, I want to fault Riffle Shuffle for releasing this bore, but on the other, they would be idiots to look a gift horse in the mouth.

Re: 666 Playing Cards - KS
Different folks like different colours. I get when collectors roll their eyes, but I never heard somebody complain about Riderbacks having too many colour options and too many metalluxe variants.
Imagine a world where back designs come only in one colour and one colour only. I for my part, like to be able to pick my prefered colour scheme, or the one I see the best fit, very much.

Re: 666 Playing Cards - KS
I like the gold red and blue deck but enough is enough. I won't be backing these although I liked the first set and Riffle Shuffle. I do hope they fund and those that pledge enjoy the new colors.

Re: 666 Playing Cards - KS
Well said. They are great looking cards, especially the purple. Choice is good. It is certainly part of why I collect. Either buy it or don't. Just because one person's type of collecting doesn't match up with another's preferred way of collecting doesn't make it wrong.Harvonsgard wrote: ↑Sun Jun 07, 2020 2:40 pm Imagine a world where back designs come only in one colour and one colour only. Re: 666 Playing Cards - KS
As someone who doesn’t even open most of their decks, I get it. Color can mean a lot to me. I like have multiple editions of the same deck, personally. I can see doing this one color swap campaign. Any more would be too much.
I've spent way more than I care to admit on playing cards, but I'll still buy just about anything that Lorenzo, Jackson, or Gio make.

Re: 666 Playing Cards - KS
There are times when I like recolors. I particularly like purple and green. But, when I realized this deck used the color of the backs to be the color of the red suits -- which doesn't work when the color of the backs isn't red -- this kinda ceased being as interesting to me as it was when I had pledged during the first project. Everyone has their own taste, but this wasn't good enough for me to go in on more. YMMV.

Re: 666 Playing Cards - KS
I didn't back this nor the former since the theme isn't my area of interest, but seeing the disinterest in this recolor versus the craze over the first edition in the community, spectacular indeed

Greedy Gold? So, we put our main motive in the edition names now, eh? Interesting.

Re: 666 Playing Cards - KS
Yeah, despite the fact that the metallic gold and silver inks are used in place of red on the red suited cards, I think I *might* make an exception on this one. Maybe. I mean, after all... shiny!

Me too. Can't see much detail on card back when held at that angle.
Move on, nothing to see here.

Re: 666 Playing Cards - KS
I think I actually sat out the first one, but got the decks after Kickstarter. I do like the design (I can enjoy some darker stuff from time to time ). Still, I had a bit of fatigue from the beginning. With Lorenzo, Lotrek, Jody, Jocu, Jack Penny and so many others ravaging my bank account lately, I am going to sit this one out. My wallet needs some time to cool down....please.

Re: 666 Playing Cards - KS
Pure evil would be a diffraction foil edition, muhahahaha.
Seriuosly surprised they don't have one yet though. Being one of the leading companies in the dairy business, you would think Riffle Shiffle would do more in that regard.
