We bring you five editions this time. Two Standard Edition (Gold and Silver), two Holo Editions (Blue and Green), and a Special Edition. Each Playing card face has full-colored illustrations, and the card box is printed on high-grade pearl paper with foil.

alright, alright, alright. really liking this!

however, i have some pretty big issues with this campaign. mainly pricing of the sets. also, having to buy sets in a box if you want anything other than the 2 standard versions. the 2 standard versions are right on the mark for pricing. perhaps low if one considers the quality of the art and each card has a piece on it. holo and gilding are all the rage these days but i think per deck, they are too expensive coupled with having to pay for a box. also, each of the 5 decks only being different in having different tucks and backs makes having to buy sets sting even more.

this isn't an art style that i would traditionally gravitate towards but these are really captivating for some reason. even more so with the holo flood.

all that said, i will likely swallow my pride and feel the burn for a holo set.

edit: f me the shipping! $20? i hate myself right now. too pretty to pass up though.

A backer dropped and said this group's last cards were poorly received, but there's no info on what that may have been. Anyone have a lead? The cards look gorgeous, but I already own a Mucha deck and would hate to support a sketchy creator.

Fluid Arts was their last deck. Reading through the comments on that kickstarter, the cards were well received. Some people had shipping issues, but those seem to have been resolved.

Looking at that previous project, I'd say I see a higher number of complaints than I like to see on the average campaign. Someone just called them on creating a "new" account for this project, so I'll be following to see how they respond.

I don’t get it…these are just another version of a Mucha souvenir deck with his work just reprinted on each card…so low effort yet everyone is going goo-goo over them. Typical TCC campaign

hmmm, interesting take on this sherm. i suppose on could see it technically as a copy paste job because the art pieces were already done and not made specifically for this deck. anyone that has been around here for a while has likely seen my dislike for low effort copy paste decks. however, i don't see these that way. perhaps because the art pieces themselves are clearly not low effort works done by the artist. i will have to think on this and drill down to why i dont feel these are low effort decks. maybe because the end result is quite beautiful? someone had to sit down and design all the embossing for each of the different tuck art pieces? is the end result more important than the method? interesting.

overall, i would submit that even if you feel these are low effort copy paste decks one would have to admit that these are leagues above throwing an f or a dot on some rectangles and calling it a day. even if you add a fence to the dot or paste some clip art stickers on along with the f.

I don't think you can compare a souvenir deck to a hype deck like that. They both use low effort but in their own way.

Not that there's anything wrong with souvenir decks if you're into that theme (I have a Curious Alice deck with the original Tenniel illustrations which I love, ten quid off Amazon). As long as its presented well and not too overpriced (if you end up buying the same deck in 5 different tucks that's on you) I think that's fine.

These seem to be at least printed to show off the art and the packaging and extra stuff is typical Chinese upselling.

The Czech guy is hands down one of my most favorite artists. His art nouveau style was unmatched and unrivaled in his era.
Having a Mucha deck that isn't a souvenir deck would be my ultimate bucket list item. Unfortunately this will never happen until artists like e.g. Karin Yan tackle that endeavour.

i got the box set with the foil cards and they turned out really really good. the metal card is great and i think they included an extra deck as well. happy i got these for sure.

These look very nice. I regret not backing. I was in my restraint phase when these launched. I think I might be out of that phase. It seems cyclical.

I was a backer for the complete set of this one. I'm looking forward to opening the holographic set, as the main Zodiac one itself was already quite gorgeous.

Hopefully the foil versions go up for sale somewhere individually. I didn't like being forced to buy two so I ended up not backing.

the foil is hard to show but it is cool that the foil is only on the background and not the subjects.

It's strange. Their website says they ship internationally, but if I try to buy a Mucha deck, the only country available to select is US.

I've been in this camp for quite a while. But, saw the photos above, and started thinking mayyyybe I should reconsider, possibly kinda sorta?

$95 per deck for the holos.

Not a terrible price, but definitely high enough to talk me down off the fence on the side of not-buying.

Listing every holographic deck is NOT a one man job LOL. That list is talking about multiple brands

Haha, no worries. It's actually nobodies job since it is useless. It just looked like you made that list with the intention to say there aren't that much diffraction foil devks out there.

When my four year old wears his shoes with blinking soles it creates a rather pleasing effect for him, too.
