That campaign page was an entertaining read. That person definitely doesn't take themselves too seriously. And I'm interested in the addon decks from the previous campaign. Now I need to decide if I like this one enough.

Didn't know this was coming. I love their two previous decks and love these too. Had to back for the pair. With this and the Jocu decks, today ended up being more expensive than I thought.

Oh I know. So on the fence on this as the first deck is really nice, this one I'm not liking as much but just enough there to put me on the fence. But this will go if other more interesting stuff comes up for Aug.

so it appears they have done it again. very nice decks with a unique style. around the new kind of standard price for decks with these features. still a little more than i would like to see at the $15 that i am more used to seeing in the past. this comes out to $38 for the pair. for this design and these features, i would be in for that. (edit: i forgot that both decks are gilded. i have become less of a fan of gilding over the years but for what most campaigns charge for gilded decks, $38 for 2 is a damn steal)

but wait.... there's more!

for another 8 bucks you can get the collectors box set. i am not a box set person. generally i rail on campaigns with the box sets. however, in this campaign you can get the decks without the collectors box set. also, not only do you get a nice looking box, you get a coin and booklet. the coin is a big one that fits into a gold foiled rigid calendar dial thingie lol. now, i think the decks might be a bit overpriced to pay for this box set in the campaign because only $8 for all the extras seems like a really good deal. i cannot put my finger on the differences between this campaign and some others but this box set just seems a lot more palatable to me.

for these same reasons i did purchase their previous set for Cernunnos Forest and it did not disappoint. that set and cards came out even better than they looked during the campaign. i happily pledged for this set.

with all of that being said... holy shit the GD shipping lol. i understand shipping overall for anything, anywhere is a bit f$%^ed right now but $16 is a hard one to take.

anyway, for the price and the quality of their previous campaign, i fell like this is a no brainer and would recommend it to anyone.

edit: you can also see my reviews on their previous set here: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=19021#unread.

Herman always knocks it out of the park. I am a big fan of his work and I love this take on the Mayan/Aztec cultures. The box is the way to go given the value.

I took a second look at this as a result of this thread, and... dammit, upon closer look, this is an OBVIOUS yes. I'm only getting a Glimpse (I need to get better about not getting so many duplicates... le sigh), but yeah, for the price and for what I imagine the finished product will look like, I agree with everyone else here: this is a no-brainer.

I was very interested in the previous campaign, but man, those courts really didn't do it for me. Everything else about them screamed, "Me! Me! Me!" But, upon second look, I still don't like the courts from that project. Alas. The courts for this one, for some reason, work just fine for me. :)

Their first decks weren't for me. They felt like a good meal but with a tad too much spice here and there. These are still a tad too loud but I'm inclinded to crunch some number and maybe jump in due to the fair pricing. I'm normal against buying a deck just because the price is right when I'm on the fence designwise... we'll see.

I wish there was some prototype to showcase as the renders make it hard for me to commit just yet. I may jump in out of FOMO as I do think the courts and design are quite a unique offering.

Just received these today. Theses are pretty great. the tucks, foiling, art, gilding, all of it. 2 of the better decks I've gotten in a while. They handle better than their previous decks. WJPC gilded cards tend to stick a good bit, but these actually handle pretty well. They both look better in person than pictured. The feathered serpent version in particular is spectacular, imo.

Received my Glimpse box set + dice and I can't believe how much value I received for under $70 US. I hope the creator made SOME money off this project. The Serpent cards are gorgeous.

Gotta agree with wingedpotato here. I was expecting these to be pretty good. Like wingedpotato, I had purchased the Glimpse box set.

Holy guacamole, the unboxing process itself was insanely awesome. Everything about this was awesome. The box (and I'm not usually one for boxes) was so well done both artistically and materially, as were the tucks and the cards themselves. In addition to the two decks of the Glimpse, I also ordered two additional decks with different gilding options. I opened them all. They are all beautiful. The cards (WJPCC, by the way) fan perfectly right out of the box *even though they are gilded.* The foils are majestic. The design is as great as expected. The pips... well, that's the only thing I would change, they are kinda less distinct than they should be, design-wise, but I knew that when I backed the project.

The visuals and the manufacturing are all top notch; the smell and the feel are likewise extremely pleasing. This was one of my favorite surprises in a very long while. Super happy to have backed this one.

Edit: OH, and I forgot to mention that I hadn't expected (even if it was mentioned, I'm not sure if it was) that one of the decks featured light embossing on the faces like what MPC had introduced several years ago... and they *still* fanned perfectly. You can see hints of the embossing on the cards in hsbc's photos above. Truly, these are as well-blinged out decks as I've ever received.

I backed this project as well, received them a while ago.

They are amazing. Just stunning work from Charmie Dreams. I was a bit sceptical if he would be able to make everything look as good as in the digital mock ups, but nope, didn't need to be the, the cards look even better in person.
