Now You See Me Movie Review -

Unread post by Magic_Orthodoxy »

I would have to agree with everything this guy says, it's good until the big reveal and then you're like WTF?
Wherin other movies kinda wrap it up and make sense at the end... this one doesn't.
You're not like, "Ahh, that's how they did it!"

You're more like, "That's how they did it? That would never have worked in real life!"

I'm one of those dissecting the movie on the ride home kind of guys and the more I talked and fleshed it out, the more worm holes, loop holes and black holes I found.

If you just want an escape, this is a good fun movie.

If you want a cool heist movie that is "smart" then this aint it.

This ending was picked by throwing a dart at the wall, (seriously they missed the target and hit the wall).

6/10

Damn. I was really looking forward to this movie!

I hope it's not as bad as you say... cause i'm gonna have to see it any way.

then again, i have absolutely no background in magic, so maybe a lay person like myself will not find as many holes as you did...
Keep it Sizzlin'!

no background in magic is GOOD! But, you'll see what I mean - you don't need a background in magic to understand things like luck or physics. Here is my actual review

I never read or listen to reviewers. If I think I'll enjoy the movie I go see it.

My wife, myself and 2 teenage daughters all enjoyed the movie. It was fun with a good twist. Besides how many movies have you seen where anything you see on screen could happen in real life?

Believable movies? All the time. I am not talking about "movie magic" I'm talking about implausibility. Case in point, the GIANT rabbit box. It's based on the mirror reflecting the emptiness inside of it.

The box looks empty because you "LOOK" into it with your eyes.

But in the movie, the police ran into the box and stood in it. Which means they would see their reflections.... in the mirror. The trick doesn't work when you stick your hand in.

The movie was full of that.

I agree that it was fun, and a great escape, but is it in the top 20 of heist movies of all time? Nah.
