Im relaunching my kickstarter campaign, the Trust no Fella playing cards!
The concept is based on a mix of old cartoons (like Tom & Jerry), the Cuphead video game (and series, now on Netflix) and Alice in wonderland (the set up and relation to playing cards).
I took elements that i loved from each one of those franchises to help create my version of a fun pack of playing cards.
The short story goes like this.
"The 4 different factions of the playing cards kingdom lived peaceful lives, until one day our little mysterious cheeky devil arrived. Her motives are unknown but she is determined on having all the factions fight each other to the end!
She has stoked the fires of the old hatred that has been dwindling for ages between all the factions, now she watches, scheming and waiting for the winner of the conflict so she can make her next move."
The back design represents the conflict between the four factions. The whole back is engulfed in the flames of our cheeky devil, while at the center of the card is a hand being bitten by a snake in a circle with the symbols of the factions, this represents the conflict between the four factions of the playing card kingdom.
The story an design revolves around The naughty devil that arrived to the playing card kingdom to cause trouble. She likes to see conflict erupt everywhere she goes. Her motives are still unknown. She is the one responsible for starting the conflict of the 4 factions in the playing card kingdom. She likes to use fire as a weapon and is always carrying her pitchfork.
