Thanks! We made it out of some sort of composite wood material (it's basically made of sawdust and glue). I can ask my dad what exactly it's called. We used this material to make it as light as possible, but even still, it weighs a ton! :P

Hopefully you're not being sarcastic! Haha, it actually IS good for the corners. The inside corners of the "+" shaped pieces are rounded (as you can see) meaning the corners of the deck barely even make contact with the material, if at all.

Yes, I am not! It is a cool display, John! And it is nice. I don't usually like displays that just display... I prefer this type of original way of displaying...

But dinged corners are usually rounded so this display would protect them as rounded as possible ;)

The gold one is Ricky Jay's deck from "The Stem", and the Bicycle one next to that is... well, let's just say it's one of a kind ;) Check it out here:

Each clover leaf is a heart. Although the green Irish theme threw me off too. :?

Yeah, I agree that some of the cards turned out a bit odd looking... lol :P But still, a lot of them turned out well in my opinion (I think the ace of hearts is probably my personal favorite) and they were all fun to make!

It's called MDF, medium density fiberboard. Yes, it's very heavy and it's porous, so it doesn't like to take finishes until you seal it with sanding sealer first.

Very cool box, I like the drawer. I also like that Aurum made the top shelf!

I find it rather fascinating how many ways people come up with to display their little treasures. Keep 'em coming.

I had to move my office and so I put all (well, the top 84) of my open user decks into one shelf that sits right at the end of my workstation, for easy access during the day.

I've made new wall display, this is just the improvement from CBJ's first post. The idea come from Jay when I made this artwork :

And this is the wall display looks like. Today I use acrylic with laser cutting to cover the decks slot, its easy to change every deck that I want to put on the frame :)

Hope you guys like it :D

This one has sold to a Bicycle Collector, so I took the photo before I shipped that display.

I 'm also curious what Bicycle deck would be in there, since it was titled with "Rare Collection" :D

Did you get permission and pay Bicycle to use their logo since you stated you sold it? Of course not!!! Another reputable business man.

Thanks!

Another cards display I made! Nothing special but I can hang it on the wall, and change the decks as I please!

Don't sell yourself short saying nothing special. You put in the time to make it and it looks great.
I would be happy to display some of my decks in that. Excellent work.

Thank you!
I meant that the finished product wasn't perfect as I wanted! But the display on itself is very nice!

EDIT:
By the way it is pretty easy to do, if you want! It is made from styrofoam, just cutted the holes to put the decks and then lined it with some suede adhesive paper! Easy and cheap!

Here is my Moleskine Style Case! I've been working on this type of case for some time! But lately with the comming of the Bicycle Black Book (and their portofino hard cover) I found out that is time to share it with you!

The material:
Hard board (for book binding, models)
Exterior: Liquid resistance faux leather (impermiable)
Interior: Soft and "velvetish" tissue

What would be interesting to know is approximately how much this cost you to make (so as to compare it to the price of the Black Book version).

I'm thinking in make some to sell, but in a very limited quantities. I'm still optimizing the process, because each case takes about 2 hours to make not counting drying time for the glue, the whole process is completed in 12 hours!!

The materials only (and the ones they use can be better or worst!) cost me arround 1€ (~1.3 USD) to produce one case!
