Great stuff artwise. Not sure about the repeating background though but it being full bleed, different backgrounds could kinda edge mark the deck. Which happens btw. if you go for the different background for the number cards. Makes the deck not playable.

Valid points, my friend...

I'll be sharing more of the cards in the coming days. The courts have this style background, with Clubs and Spades having this night time version. The Hearts and Diamonds have the same scene but in the day time. All of the number cards have matching backgrounds (the concentric circles shown earlier). I also considered white borders on the faces but to me it just didn't feel as "fun".

There are a few things about this deck that go against traditional thinking and I've decided I'm ok with that. After giving each of them a lot of thought I decided to just cut loose and have fun with the deck. Hopefully that shows through in the final product.

So close to the technicolor decks. About $1,100.

I love both the design work and the illustration of these decks, and I did pledge to back the project... and then I realized how much it was extracting from my wallet to get what I want, and I couldn't figure out a way to get even a subset of what I want for a price that I can currently afford. This isn't on NativeTongue; they should charge what they can to make their work rewarding enough to keep doing it. I truly hope the "Technicolor" decks see the light of day (either in this campaign or in their own future campaign), and I do hope to add these decks to my collection at some point. For the time being, however, twenty bucks (minimum) per deck for the standards is just a bit out of my reach.

Even if not unlocked this time the Technicolor decks will definitely be released in a future campaign. That was the original plan anyway. Having them as a stretch goal was really a last minute addition. Prices will also be coming down a bit on the next go-round.
