Curious I do recall something like that, but then again, it's not stated in the KS campaign page or his webstore.

On another note, Gio seems to be getting hit with the same experimentation bug that Lotrek did when he was going through his Grotesk and Icons phase. (I can't keep track on just how many variants he had for those 2 decks alone!)

Creators create and this is great. So I don't gripe any creator changing their mind over time. I just don't see any added artistic value to the new variants. Especially the diffraction foil Eva feels like a - no offense meant - feature whore instead of a clear artistic vision. That's why they get a meh from me.

At the time, the original Eva deck was a little expensive but I splurged only because it is one of a kind. Now that there are so many more variants, I still don't regret my purchase and I'd rather Gio make decks than not. LOL I basically just sighed and got over it.

I have decided to launch the project next week, Tuesday 21th June. I am planning to fulfill Eva Kickstarter very quickly, I have submitted the decks in production long time ago and in the worst case scenario, the Eva decks will be fulfilled in September.

First, one of those Eva sets is also part of the Patreon rewards. Second, I believe the argument would be that the first three quarters also gets you 75% of the annual reward in there as well.

Hello Adam!

The price of the KS tier is more or less like 9 months of Patreon, but the subscription includes a lot of extras (discount on TWI website, the posts, the flash deals, ...) and, most importantly, the yearly reward(s) . I am focusing Patreon on yearly rewards a lot from this year and I would say that the yearly reward is probably the most important reason to subscribe nowadays (as a Patron, you should know why )

However, I've realized that, despite the lack of yearly reward & other perks, the KS deal was a little too good, so I've fixed it. Thanks for the heads up!

Well, I have the Patron stuff and am picking up a couple of more sets because.....nuts. Those box sets are rather nice too as they include the Egoism Relic and BM Cripto decks. Good stuff.

As for making the 2022-so-far Patreon decks available at a decent price as a set, it occurred to me to wonder: "should I be bothered that 'Patreon-exclusive' decks are being made available to non-patrons?" So, I wondered... and then I considered... and then I realized, "Nope. I got a good deal, I'm getting additional goodies, and just because some other people get to enjoy these awesome decks doesn't diminish my enjoyment of these awesome decks."

I understand the *principle* behind wanting "Patreon-exclusive" decks to be super hard to get, but even so, I just can't find a way to get upset about it.

Gio takes care of the people who take care of him. And, truly, my love for playing cards is not injured when others also love the same playing cards. YMMV and all that.

For now I am just keeping my Patreon alive but won't back any campaigns or pick up extra decks and will consider at end of year which Patreons I actually keep and if TWI will be one of them or not.

Making 10-11 new Patreon decks per year, like I've did for 2021 (and very likely for 2022) would be impossible if I cannot rely on doing some new editions of my "old" decks, like I've did for Eva or Monolith.
Of course I am trying, when possible, to introduce 100% new designs on Patreon, like I've did for Conquerors, Black Market and Egoism but... well... I am human and honestly is not easy

By the way - apart Eva, which is an atypical campaign, I am planning only new projects on future 2022 Kickstarters (i.e. Heartless)

There are many other patreon subscriptions who either send out rewards less frequently or have less items during the year but give more insight and collaboration into the process along with either more daring or expensive upgrades (foil, embossing, cut-outs etc...). Might help keep you from burning out and stop people from complaining about series getting too long.

ssshhhhhhhh! shush! the thing that makes his patreon so good is not only the cards but he puts out more than others. i like getting the decks even if some are recolors.
