@laitostarr777 - Memoria will be definitely different from Apocalisse and Apoteosi in term of boxes, since they're printed in Italy with completely different materials.
I never printed with Boschiero&Newton before, but I have high expectations seeing the decks they did for other creators.

Oh don't worry Gio! I have a few of Jocu Playing Cards decks, and I can say, none of the tuckboxes made by them dissapoints. Great foiling and embossing.

I am not planning to use BackerKit on Memoria!

These are just "ugly" factory pics, but the foil seems exceptionally shiny and detailed and I am very, very happy about the result.

Boschiero&Newton sent me some physical proofs of the boxes. These are exceptional, details are perfect, the paper feels great and foil is extremely reflective (almost mirrorlike) - take a look:

Unfortunately I have bad news: Cartamundi's gilding department made a mistake, and all the gilded decks are ruined (black stains on the faces and back of the cards).

Of course, we decided to reprint these. I hate delays, so we're working to minimize the impact as much as possible: Cartamundi told me that the reprinting will be a top priority and should be relatively quick.

My guestimate is that the project will be completed in July/August - I of course apologize for this issue - it was really unexpected and I could do nothing to prevent this.

This is one of the reason why I tend to disregard of getting gilded decks of any decks - delays because there is just the overseen mistakes that can happen. While we can’t do much about it than to wait for the reproductions to be done, we can imagine how people who never got the gilded and have to pay the price of longer time receiving their rewards

People who didn't get a gilded decks are shipping out imminently. It's only the backers with gilded decks that are delayed.

In this case (which is the most likely) I will ship everything later probably july-august.

@Iaitostarr - issues that cause delays can happen at any level. Gilded decks are just a little more exposed to errors since they go through an additional process.
Unfortunately productions like Memoria are complex, issues might happen at any level - will do my best to fix this asap!

@Harvonsgard - I am very happy with Boschiero&Newton, plus since they're in Italy, I can get hardproofs easier

Oh, my bad. I misunderstood the update. I assumed that them shipping out to the fulfillment center meant they'd be shipping to backers soon too. Not bothered by the delay at all though. My Patreon shipment arrived today anyway to tide me over ( they're awesome). Thanks for the correction.

Take your time to fix it! Don't rush! My commentaries are my own opinions regarding gilded decks

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Memoria will be further delayed because the gilded decks are not done yet. The company that will be gilding the cards are on vacation and will resume work very soon.

Perhaps this is one reason that I am discouraged of getting gilded decks: the higher chance of getting delayed is imminent

The camera really brings out the scratches in the mirror-like tucks, they do NOT look that scratchy to the naked eye! I actually do prefer the regular editions to the gilded, though, and am getting weary of gilded versions like many others

Just received mine MEMORIA.
WOW, JUST WOW! I love everything about this deck series by TWI. Not to mention, it took inspiration from M.C. Escher and Tarot Deck is enough for me to go ALL-IN: Getting all of the variants and the recommended add-ons. I enjoy my time reading the booklet, get in-depth with the story within the series. Those Gilded variants tuckbox along with the book are just phenomenal - you can use it as makeshift mirror

All of the characters present in the story of Memoria, a journey of self-discovery. I believe this series is one of Gio's best one as it follows the beliefs of the brand's name. The characters presented on the courts are inspired from Tarot's Major Arcana - some would retain clear symbolism, some are re-imagined based on the divination meaning.

and it’s not that hard to set it up though XD Just have both decks ready > separate the courts and jokers > carefully arrange them
