Re: The Successor by TGW/Kevin Cantrell
On the project page will the very last tier be the sarcophagus + proto? I ask because I am actually going to run test drills so once project goes live I know exactly where to scroll to on page. Seconds count and I will be devastated if I don't get in those first 30 slots for the proto. I wasn't sure if you were going to do a preview page before it goes live so figured I would ask now.

Re: The Successor by TGW/Kevin Cantrell
It will indeed be the LAST tier. ALso I will likely have a preview page up once I have the final photography and video.

Or as the rest of us would put it - we are really looking forward to the launch - keep pouring yourself into your work, you cannot care too much about your own creation.

Hi mr negative.. I can prove you wrong right there. I definitely have a TON of interest as well as thousands of others. And yes we actually do enjoy all the production photos. And about the high price tag...well if its too much then just dont buy but why complain about something your not going to buy anyways? TOTT high tier was $400 and the Prism alone sells for that much so yeah pricing isnt unreasonable by any means considering its a prism, Dynastinae, a super rare prototype and all the other versions plus the sarcophagus for 545/565....sounds like a steal of a deal to me.

Re: The Successor by TGW/Kevin Cantrell
High effort projects in the card industry (or any industry) deserve high praise, even if they are not to our taste - a simple, nice but not for me will suffice.
If anyone doubts that the top tier will sell out, I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell them
And if he doesn’t deserve to be in the running for tuck of the year with these, then the system is broken.

Sigh. I don’t really understand what I did to anzh lol. Can someone explain? How being passionate about your business is somehow an objectionable offense? Man…
I didn’t give us the tuck of the year award. I just expressed a desire to be in the conversation. Then offered the tucks for consideration. Am I proud of them? F*** yeah I’m proud of them. I think they are gorgeous work. Kevin killed it with the artwork. Ntatev did an absolutely stunning job converting the 2D art into 3D. And JC from studio pression labored for hours to make that 3D useable as a embossing plate. Then he toiled to ensure perfect registration with FIVE foil layers. What other tuck case can you name with five foil layers? If they exist I bet they are gorgeous too.

You have far more tolerance than I. That kind of baseless negativity would get someone banned from my channel in a second. They only detract from the discourse and offer nothing of true substance.

You're not wrong, but I'm wary of overstepping and maybe too much of an optimist Please do reach out to me privately if there's anything I'm not aware of (e.g. PMs, posts elsewhere), we really value all of your contributions and insights here on UC, both in your own threads and othersTheGentlemanWake wrote: ↑Sat May 07, 2022 3:47 pmYou have far more tolerance than I. In other news... I'm not sure that drooling counts as contributing to a contribution, but that's my contribution.

Re: The Successor by TGW/Kevin Cantrell
I bet this tuck will make it as a nominee in "Best Tuck of the Year 2022". Definitely might be an easy win for the Successor.TheGentlemanWake wrote: ↑Sat May 07, 2022 8:11 am We would really like to be in the tucks of the year convo please. For your consideration.
And, this would make a GREAT opportunity to be offered as an add-on: unflap tuckbox - view the tuck before it is assembled as a flat artwork.
TMI: I think the producer from Studio Pression take these photos with iPhone 13 Pro - you can see the details of the embossing

I would also really love an uncut tuck box add on!

Ultimately the biggest issue with this is shipping. Let me try and work on it.

Re: The Successor by TGW/Kevin Cantrell
At least we know everything and roughly how much each tier/set will cost. Budget prepped for this. Thank you for being to transparent about this.
Having said that, do consider uncut tucks as a stretch goal addon. Serious math involved in terms of costs, yes, but there are few decks which scream for uncut tucks. This is definitely one of them.

Re: The Successor by TGW/Kevin Cantrell
For the tiers with the sarcophagus it shouldn't be a problem because I would imagine uncut tucks could fit underneath the sarcophagus since they should be smaller in size and only add a small amount of weight to the heavy package.

Luckily I have a time machine and have hopped ahead to take a peek - the final will be just over $254,000
As long as no one steps on a butterfly between now and then, the uncut tuck is as good as mine
