I will be launching Legionary on Kickstarter on May 9th. A custom deck featuring illustrations of Roman Gladiators.

I bought the Centurio decks from his site, and they arrived just fine. I'm still holding out hope that he'll get back on the Stories project. :shrug:

Earlier I gave Ludus Magnus some space to operate. Then KWP's LOTR came along and though it better than to make people's wallets hurt more. But May is looking crowded too. I can no longer wait myself unfortunately.

Yeah I get ya. It’s hard to pick a good time. I originally wanted to launch Legionary in January. Because of my move to TN and needing to workout some shipping logistics for the project, I kept pushing it off. I wanted to do it in April, but didn’t want to do it at the same time as Jackson, so May 9th was my best choice.

To comment about how to choose when to launch, I think we all want to give people room for their projects as best as we can, but at the end of the day, I just need to make a plan to launch and stick to it.

To tell you the truth I totally forgot that you were launching too GW and I am so looking forward to Kevin Cantrell’s work and to see what you all came up with.

Hey all!

We are set for May 9th at 10am MST (Mountain). Kickstarter finally approved the page, which took a whole week this time to get it approved. I've never had it go that long before.

Also, some good news. Fulfillment for Legionary will be in two places this time around. For all European backers and the rest of the world outside of the U.S. fulfillment will be done by

Dealeaz

Deallez provides fulfillment solutions for playing card companies and individuals. Their fulfillment center is located in Berlin, Germany. This central location allows for no import taxes and incredibly fast shipments around Europe and the globe.

As many of you know, fulfillment has not been too great as of late for my projects. It took me a bit to find a good partner for international shipments and I think Dealeaz has proven from other projects to be a good solution.

For all U.S. backers, fulfillment will be done from my new place of business in Chattanooga TN.

I am excited for Legionary, it's my first one-way court card design. It was fun to be able to draw the whole character.

Wow... the court cards are very nice. I dislike the choosen font though. They are more Old English than Roman to me. Kind of a disconnect to the theme. Not feeling the big border and the frame, too. They take away a lot from the court art.

So, I think you are correct. I went ahead and changed the font choice for the Indicies. I do like the border, so I am keeping them.
