Great illustration without a doubt. The artstyle still screams good night stories from Middle-earth for kids way too much for me though. I guess I can stop visiting this thread unfortunately.

No chance T11's (most likely monochrome) back will be half as good as this.

100% this. It is SOOO CLOSE to what I want, but just isn't. My problem is I want an artifact that feels like it came from the world of Middle Earth, not from the digital pen of our world.Harvonsgard wrote: ↑Wed Mar 23, 2022 5:16 am Great illustration without a doubt. Totally understand, and fear not we will be releasing the orignal "artifact" version as a stretch.wingedpotato wrote: ↑Wed Mar 23, 2022 9:45 am100% this. Side note, to the "Good Night Stories" comment. Remember that both the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings started out as children's stories.

Sure thing. It's just a matter of personal taste; Some like peated Scotch, others prefer Rye Whiskey. I'm pretty sure this style will work for a way broader audience and as mentioned is still awesome.

Don't get me wrong, I'll still be getting it without reservation, but it will be another beautiful deck in my collection instead of the "greatest deck I've ever seen."JacksonRobinson wrote: ↑Wed Mar 23, 2022 10:41 amTotally understand, and fear not we will be releasing the orignal "artifact" version as a stretch.wingedpotato wrote: ↑Wed Mar 23, 2022 9:45 am100% this. Re: The Lord of the Rings - By Kings Wild Project
Does anyone know if Jackson has mentioned which card company he plans to use this time? My experience with his cards on EPCC has been pretty awful so far (at least for the heavily inked and foiled decks).

Re: The Lord of the Rings - By Kings Wild Project
Don't quote me on this. These will have foil, but I think Jackson is done with EPCC for now mainly due to shipping prices. I think he might be using a new printer that he is using for Mistborn that he likes. He has not revealed the name of this printer though.
I've spent way more than I care to admit on playing cards, but I'll still buy just about anything that Lorenzo, Jackson, or Gio make.

Re: The Lord of the Rings - By Kings Wild Project
Can anyone owning both Mistborn and any of his foiled EPCC decks comment on the differences?

I believe Mistborn is a preorder so we won't know what they're like for some time.

Re: The Lord of the Rings - By Kings Wild Project
Well the Mistborn decks have been shipped to Jackson in late February and I think (I THINK) they have received them a little while ago. Again, don't quote me. I thought I remembered Jackson saying they would start shipping out to people who only ordered the standard decks soonish, but the others still need to be sent off to the gilder and they are still waiting on the leather boxes.
Jackson has said that he is REALLY happy with the way they turned out.

Well, I had really been looking forward to this but I don't think the artwork is fitting my personal style. Waiting to see the final reveal.

He's said he'll be putting out the earlier designs as a stretch goal so there's that.

He is far from a valuable source when it comes to card feel unfortunately though.EvilDuncan wrote: ↑Fri Mar 25, 2022 11:53 pmJackson has said that he is REALLY happy with the way they turned out.

Re: The Lord of the Rings - By Kings Wild Project
Handful of folks already mentioned it but I gotta chime in as well.. Gandalf the white definitely approves ( ) the right side of the art work and want those deck of cards. I just hope one does not have to pledge for the left one in order to get the right one.

Re: The Lord of the Rings - By Kings Wild Project
Jackson has mentioned that these will be about $10 to $12 for a standard deck. Should draw in a lot more non-collectors at that price.
