You seem to not have seen the guys working for customs. In Germany the lower tier are slobs and the upper tier are smart people, too busy handling all their side incomes (like IT or tax business) during their work hours. From that stance, everything regarding customs makes perfect sense to me.
You want to reclaim your mind and get it out of the hands of the cultural engineers who want to turn you into a half-baked moron consuming all this trash that’s being manufactured out of the bones of a dying world.

I hate Dutch customs. They tend to hold everyone of my packages for a month and do absolutely nothing with it.
Currently have about 5 orders stuck.

Have you sent Bao at Deallez an email? Let’s do that if you haven’t. Where are you located?
Given my location, I like to give everything a month to get here before firing off inquiry emails (it's still 4th of Feb. here so I will be doing that before I head to bed tonight tho).

I'm sure they are coming! Got word from Gamblers that bad weather last week slowed things down but I was told the remaining packages were going out TODAY. Hopefully that's true. I'm glad you are enjoying your Dynastinae! Thank you for your awesome support always Brad.

Best,

I hope that’s true! Been (im)patiently waiting for weeks now and I am looking forward to bathing in the warm glow of my dynastinae! But knowing my luck it’ll be a few more days. For whatever reason whenever I get stuff from GW I always seem to receive it like 1-2 weeks after everyone else :(

As someone who didn't spring for Dynastinae or Prism, I have to echo my love for Midnight. The foil on both sides of that deck make it something to behold (and that's coming from someone who's getting sick of foil). The Great Wylenti has a beautiful back but I'll pull out Midnight to wow my friends and relatives.

I like the backs of midnight and Wylenti better than treasure. At first I wasn't going to open midnight but I'm happy I did. I wish dusk had a shiny back, it would've looked more lovely.

My goal with Tempest was to make sure every deck (other than the standard pair) in the set was unique. The Dusk and Ocean would exist as a useable everyday deck. Alternating colors as is the norm for gaming etc. The black and gold midnight was to complement the Parlour black deck. The treasured would be gilded because the Dynastinae this time around was it's own beast. (Both foil decks have a different power ace too).

This is the same philosophy I'm attacking the Successor with. The Regal Red and Royal Blue standard decks. The Imperial Black & Gold. The Monarch White deck with Gold Gilding. The Dynastinae and Prism will have the different ambigram back design to further differentiate them. both will be gilded too.

Got mine. Guess I forgot about the coin, that's pretty nice. Might switch-out my card-guard during the next poker night. Great work, love the cards, especially the treasured. Typically not a fan of gilded decks in general, but this one just does something to me.

Really happy to hear of backers receiving their long awaited decks. The coin was my gift to everyone for their amazing support. Regarding the treasured, Cartamundi has the best gilding facilities in my opinion. Those decks handle amazingly.

I know its been a long road. So I will add to the list of very satisfied backers. I received everything in perfect condition and it is all terrific. Looking forward to the next campaign.

One little piece of feedback/wish list item: If feasible, it would have been great to have the metal card in a slip case or box like Jody does with Black Ink Branded. Maybe for the next project?

My order arrived today, which was mainly a mixed brick set. I did open one of each of the three main decks. If you all haven't opened them, you should. The midnight deck in cold foil is such a treat. Lotrek did an amazing job in the design (as expected). The Great Wylenti deck is such an insane value. In fact, $140 these days for a brick, which includes four decks with cold foil on both sides is really nice. The free coin, letter and sample cards were also very welcome additions. Thanks for not adding gilding options to the three main decks. I think we had enough versions...

I know this has been a long path, but I for one am very pleased with the end result. Exceptional quality and value.

I will also mention that Gambler's Warehouse double boxed my shipment with extra bubble wrap, so they did a solid job on packing my order.

If you want to, you can just ship me your surplus Wylenti decks and send me the bill...just say'n. :ugdance:

Received my (partial) shipment as well. I appear to be one of the folks who will have to wait for the rest of their Wylentis to arrive. Bradius, did you receive all of yours?

The OCD in me wants to wait to open anything until I have received everything. We'll see. But, I *will* be opening these decks at some point. :)

No, I did not get all of my Wylenti decks. I got two of the five Wylenti decks I ordered.TGW let me know many only got one right now. One box is still missing from customs. If it doesn’t show up, Lotrek will produce some more. TGW will be sending an update soon to explain what happened. I am hopeful the box will show up shortly.

Update: I just checked my email and TGW has sent the update explaining what happened. Evidently only 60 of us are impacted. One way or other, we will get the rest of our rewards.

I was just curious if you were also one of the 60. It seemed likely, given that we were both part of the same batch (and likely had very similarly-sized pledges.)

I have no doubts that those decks will eventually find their way into our hands. While I understand that a lot of folks here are grumpy, Omar is a stand-up guy and I have always been confident that he'll see this through to successful completion. My OCD is impatient to "complete the set" before breaking open the decks, but that's just my OCD talking, and my OCD is just crazy.

Well, if you don't at least open a Midnight Deck, you will regret it when you finely do open those decks. Fair warning. You will be rewarded. The Great Wylenti deck is stunning. I haven't opened my Dynastinae deck, nor will I likely do so. Shame. My sample card is magical.

Completely reasonable response to such a combative comment by the backer. Exclusivity is definitely an important factor for some backers - many of whom are likely hoping to flip the decks for a profit. No problem with capitalism but the comment is absurd. I don't believe for a minute that a superbacker didn't pay attention to the details of the campaign and recognize the benefit of backing a high-value tier.

Honestly, the backer didn't deserve that level of thorough and thoughtful response in the first place. That being said, it was a good idea to get ahead of any others who may choose to be rude in a public comment section.

I appreciate that. I just don't even understand why this is a thing. The idea of 'why should I back your project if it's not exclusive and others will be able to buy it later" is backwards... the answer is quite simple... if people don't back it... IT WON'T HAPPEN. AT ALL. NO ONE WILL HAVE IT. lol. Ultimate exclusivity.

Your comments to counter that troll backer all make sense. I believe I have written a summary on why one should be a backer rather than just wait to appear to retail somewhere here, and on other forums (but I guess some people won’t bother to stop and read). So, I briefly going to say it here again:
  1. Special Discounted Price
  2. Exclusive Items
  3. Get it Earlier (although not applicable for Internationals, since it is always unpredictable)
  4. Personal Pride
  5. Experience
Number 1 is an obvious ones, because eBay stoners loves to jacked it up; Number 3 is also obvious, although again, its based on situations; Number 2 - cuz where you will get the coins or special stickers or sample cards or special Kickstarter variant items other than from the period (unless if other backers are doing sales); Number 4 is the absolute reason on why you back: show support and belief on the projects, because….
TheGentlemanWake wrote: Thu Feb 10, 2022 1:43 am... if people don't back it... IT WON'T HAPPEN. AT ALL. NO ONE WILL HAVE IT. lol. Ultimate exclusivity.
Also, I keep seeing people in the Comments section, still whining about the decks arrived late :? Like, c’mon, are those decks are like your life support that you just needed it so badly in your arms - that you would die if you don’t get it. Why not do something else while waiting that long, lel… something to kill the time. If it’s that really long, then you can ask for help. I get that some people just keeps on pestering about this, because they pooled in soo much money for it, and then the project took a year to complete - but still, the keyword is PATIENCE [I am in Asia, so it always have the 4-6 weeks duration, so if it’s more than that, then I will contact for help]. And plus, we still have a pandemic to worry about as well - still at large since 2020 till now…. So it’s better to take care of health first!

Unfortunately, there will always be people like this (and worse) on Kickstarter.

I am not sure who is worse: these or the patient ones. Over on Tony's Horseman campaign people cry "scam!" or "the project is dead!" if Tony doesn't update every few weeks. It's infuriating.
