Those wanting club decks, I'm sorry I'm tapped out at 2 this year.

As to the Octo debacle, ended up just changing my pledge, no issues

The 52+ club deck hasn't had a good couple of years. Last year they wanted to charge me US$700 shipping, on 2 decks.

Just a reminder that this is not the thread for the 52+Joker Club deck, there's another thread for that.
This is the thread for the KS project Odd Fellows.

I only pledged the Sir Octo deck because it looks the best out of the 3. The other two look very good too. Though it's just 3 decks, if I wanted all of three then I would get them. I wouldn't be surprised if there will be mini decks (which has been in many of Lorenzo's projects).

I prefer tibia personally. Mostly due to the ace of spades.
Can’t go wrong with a daruma doll! Also looking at this one to be an eyecatcher of my starting collection.

if you watched the Deckin' Around interview, a mini deck was all but confirmed from how i took it.

You can kind of assume that from the photo of all the stuff too there's a smaller rectangle near the 9box

I only seen one of their interviews, I'll watch more. As I previously stated, Lorenzo always has mini decks. Now confirmed, they're called JAKKOS. They look very good, I will get some of them.

This beautiful mini deck features the circling pumpkin patch on the back with spider iconography. The Jokers feature a more mischievous "Trick" and a more light hearted "Treat" to compliment. The Ace of Spades shows the pumpkin head rising from the ground to meet the Odd Fellows. Overall color tone for the red suits as well as the courts have been updated to a warmer and spookier orange color palette. Each Joker features a different card reveal.

Our biggest excitement for these Jakko mini decks are the fact that they will be embossed with a subtle skeleton texture as seen in the picture. We are excited to have a similar quality we are getting in our normal Odd Fellows to be applied to this mini deck as well to ensure the collection reads cohesive throughout.

It looks like the oddest fellows get a single mini deck. I have a weakness for mini decks and added on 5 more.

I agree. It's possible for a normal size deck because of the shadow shape of the stretch goals.

I think it’s gonna be a metal card as the next stretch goal is shiny odd.

I agree with you Sherman, and I will just say that will be a metal card guard more like what we have seen from Jody lately. If you look at the picture showing what is missing, it is a large rectangle. As for the final item, I am going for the three aces in circle refrigerator magnets. I guess it could be coasters, but I am thinking magnetized backs.

I am at the Oddest level but once everything gets revealed will likely drop down to a different pledge if the other to-be-revealed items are not decks. I do not care for or want all the extras that are not decks. Even though the nondeck items are nice I have no interest in them. They are just things that will get lost. I can get the decks at the Oddest level at a lower pledge and it will be cheaper.

Maybe a gilded deck? But a metal card makes more sense from that picture. Surprising no gilded deck(s) ;)

I had kind of a similar thought, gonna wait and see what the full package it but there are definitely things in the package that just don't interest me

I definitely get brownsl and Entaro's position on focusing on just playing cards. I guess I got "broken in" to Lorenzo's campaign extras with Gemini. I just love all the extras because they help tell the story of the deck. The extras that Lorenzo adds are carefully designed to supplement the deck design. Too many other producers just add stuff because they think they have to. I don't see that with Lorenzo's campaigns.

While I do like some of the extras in specific campaigns, especially cases, I have not been a big purchaser of coins in campaigns.

My advice is always collect what you like and not what others like.

I think Lorenzo does extras better than anyone else on the planet and it's not even close.

1. His card protector on Gemini that is integrated into the acrylic case with rare earth magnets and is also reflective of the back design?
2. Also on Gemini the mahogany 3 deck collector box that is laser engraved and has gold plated inserts
3. The resin gate as part of the House of the Rising Sun that is a part of the Gatekeeper bundle with its bespoke Carat Case
4. The amazing silver metal card protector also on House of the Rising Spade that has a keyhole in the middle, just so cool (later produced in black and gold colours)
5. The absolutely beautiful Ace of Spades represented in sterling silver with multiple layers and incredible detail in a special inlaid wood box done as part of the No. 17 Kickstarter

And of course the wonderful items to come with the Eye of the Ocean:
1. The Codex key
2. The book hiding a deck and a mystery inside which also has a pen with a feather (I mean c'mon!)
3. The astrolabe model

I'm pretty happy to blind buy at the Oddest level knowing that I will get something not only amazing but of incredible value for what you recieve as well.

I did take advantage of the full campaigns for both Keymaster and Eye of the Ocean, Gemini and Gatekeeper were before my time. :( I feel those extras do enhance the story he is telling, especially Eye of the Ocean. For this campaign even though the added stuff is very nice, I feel they do not add to any story being told through the campaign. I do like the box though! I know I am probably in the minority here and I do not want to imply that the value is not there as I know it is. Plus, a lot of collectors love these added items. When I get this sort of stuff from a campaign I toss it in a box with other coins, stickers, etc. Now when I get the Eye of the Ocean stuff, I won't be doing that.

Yup, makese sense and to each their own.

I do think that having a bunch of "odd stuff" is on theme for this one but certainly not a cohesive part of a particular narrative.

Yea not arguing against the extras - I ended up with a lot of them in the end for EotO too, but while they're great for the story, incredibly well done, and I love he does that instead of adding 5-10 more decks in different colors of gilding, come the end of the day I just don't really want them because they'll just sit in a box in a closet and if I can save a little money by not getting them that I can put into a later campaign seems like a win to me lol

+1 for all above

Lorenzo has the dopest gimmicks. But still there is a lot of stuff I personally don't want. I always throw the gimmick stuff that you get, because it was part of your tier, in parcels of trade or sold decks.
You want to reclaim your mind and get it out of the hands of the cultural engineers who want to turn you into a half-baked moron consuming all this trash that’s being manufactured out of the bones of a dying world.

The extras are part of why I love Lorenzo's projects so much. They aren't just the usual coin or stickers or gilded decks. I enjoy collecting all the things that aren't a standard deck size. I wish more creators would incorporate such things (*cough* Gio *cough*).
I've spent way more than I care to admit on playing cards, but I'll still buy just about anything that Lorenzo, Jackson, or Gio make.

Hehe I've used to do more extra items in the past (stickers, carat cases, boxes, books ...) but overall, I had the feeling that 90% of the backers wanted only decks.
So I've cutted most of the extras to focus on these. Not sure if this is the right strategy, it's useful to know that you like extra items. Maybe I'll reconsider!

Anyways, I totally love Lorenzo's campaign and the extra items he have unlocked - especially that crazy brick box
