Ah, okay. No, sorry can't help you. Cardvolution is still my start page in the browser, this is why I saw the Silk for sale, but since I was busy paying bills, I didn't really roam the site for months or so.chicken_ql wrote:They have some deal where if you spend 60$, you get a seconds deck or smthshiroo56 wrote:No clue. Congrats on the catch. I can't stop staring at my Silk . Beautiful deck with awesome craftmanship. But I don't have to tell this someone at UC...

I smell a bit of excitement.
Honestly I'm torn between
YES - one of the dopest foilworks ever is coming back and
Meh - No new artwork?
I hope Lotrék does atleast some multiple gold foils on the back (and a new back design!? - God I'm selfish, lol) to add depth/variation to the back design.

Are you freaking crazy!? This is Lotrek we re talking about. L O T R E K! He very well might see your comment and say to himself "Hummm, Strag has an excellent point. I'll just have to scrap these nearly completed decks and redo them with fixed Indexes. Yeah, that will look better." Next then we know we get another message: "Sorry folks, I really want to redo those indexes. Once the printers get back from their Christmas Holidays, we will get right to work on it". I'll leave you to figure out what year we are talking about.I would kind of prefer it if the black indices matched the look of the pip inside the border of the courts

I actually agree with Strag and this is how the black indices will be. I won’t scrap anything as these are test prints. The final deck will be quite different as I am thinking to use two different gold foils for the faces. Back will be different from the two other Silk editions and will have two gold foils in the style of Oath GoG.

Anything to make these look more playable. Or not play with them just to admire the gold shine.

Re: "SILK" by OathPlayingCards
I believe there will be a version available for the public to purchase from Oath and another version specifically for Patrons.
Last night I stayed up late playing poker with Tarot cards. I got a full house and four people died.

Yup. Red stock is the Patreon silver tier reward. Purple stock will be for pre-order.

Re: "SILK" by OathPlayingCards
What is kind of funny is I am just now realizing that the difference between the Patreon Silver Tier deck and the standard deck is the color stock, not a different foil color. I was certain (certain) that the patreon silver tier was for a different foil color.
However, I go back to the wording:
However, I go back to the wording:
Color variation, not different color foil. I guess I had better read my contracts more carefully. The Patron's tier rewards you will get two copies of one of the year's decks in a color variation that will be printed especially for you and will not be available to non-patrons.

Re: "SILK" by OathPlayingCards
A version of Royal Silk is the Patreon "silver tier" deck. The regular version will be on purple stock with gold foil inside the tuck; the Patreon version will be on red stock with red velvet lining inside the tuck
All of this is separate from the "gold tier" Patrons deck called.... Patrons

Re: "SILK" by OathPlayingCards
You're not alone there @Bradius. I'm certain that at one point Lotrék mentioned here at UC that the silver Patreon reward will be a different colour foil of a public release deck. I think it was just an example though and not that it specifically will be the difference.
I'm very pleased that he went (almost as expected, lol) the extra mile though and not simply swapped the foil - which he could have done.
Gotta say I'm feeling the purple more, haha. Would have wished for the purple (with the extras of the red version) would be the Patreon reward. Hell, now I have to sell a red one to make room for a brick of the purple ones .

Re: "SILK" by OathPlayingCards
I might pass on this one hehe... I still can't get over how gorgeous the original set of Silks were, with the perfect contrast with the white stock. The silk effect really pops out on the originals; this one is blinged out, but loses the contrast a bit.

Re: "SILK" by OathPlayingCards
There is a lot here I still like over the original version. I am really liking how Lotrek has created paterning in the foil lines in the margins. How he is going to achieve all of this right up the edges? Dang, from a technical perspective, this is just crazy. Any information on the pricing? I understand this will not have a fixed quantity, but there will be a time limit in which to make your order (thanks Lotrek).

Re: "SILK" by OathPlayingCards
It's hard to say with just photos, as they never do justice to the final product in Lotrek's case. But of course, budget wise, this could be one to skip if you already have the original Silk decks.Decknowledgy wrote: ↑Thu Oct 28, 2021 11:17 am I might pass on this one hehe...
