Membership to 52+Joker is great, but this wasn't managed well IMO. 1000 decks to supply >600 members. This would have been fine if, for example, it was limited to 1 per member for the first 24 hours, that way ALL members who wanted a deck could have gotten one (unless in the UK of course).
I've heard that Lee Asher and the folks at 52+Joker will be making a statement to members soon, so waiting with interest to see outcome.

I was able to get an order in but hope that they can print more so more people can get the deck. I am not one of those collectors that gets upset if a deck I have becomes less scarce by reprinting. The more that get it, the better.

This should have had an initial 2 deck limit. Maybe in separate releases. A reprint is most definitely in order.

They should not have had a 3 brick limit, that is ridiculous when there are only 999 available. But hell print more without numbers, that would be fine for those who missed out to get them. Next time they need to plan better.

I made the mistake of attending my grandfather's memorial last Wednesday, and then spending the rest of the week with my family. I knew the release was coming up, but I was certain I would have been able to get a deck when I got back, considering Uusi's deck was still available last I checked, and there was only 500 of those.

Coming to 52+J defense a bit, I know In years past, 52+J decks were only mildly popular amongst collectors, and some years didn't sell all that well. You almost couldn't give the decks away. I guess they did not anticipate the huge surge when they attached Gio's name to it this year. Not to mention a spike in collectors. And with that a massive wave of "resellers" they got the three bricks max and are going to sell them on eBay at $200 -$300, one at a time, to keep the demand as high as possible (See Jackson's purple-on-purple "Eric Church - Ampersand" deck for a great example of this. 500 of those, yet they are selling for twice as much as the much more limited purple-on-white "Ampersand", only 100 of those).

But yes, I 100% agree it could have been handled significantly better. 1 or 2 max for say 3 days, then open it up to a max of 3 bricks. Hell, maybe even 4, wouldn't matter, those who wanted them for their collection would have got them.

All that said, I know I am late to this party, but if anyone has an extra deck they would like to sell, please let me know.

I fear for next year! The featured club deck artist has to up the ante, if there's no physical convention again, hella people will be in on the video meeting, tons of new members, 2500-5000 decks will needed to be printed with a limit for members, servers can crash ...

Yeah, when I went in for the 52+J deck by Lotrek via Mike 2 years back, I could get all their previous releases except for JR's. Would suck for them if they printed 2k decks next year and only sell 1k.

Looking at it, Lee should consider a pre-order with only the designer announced for all members and then print a little extra. That would guarantee everyone gets what they want and 52+J don't end up with so much excess stock.

Not me, unless there is some way to somehow ship to UK members (which they haven't sorted in almost a year now) AND somehow find a way to make it right for those of us who were already members and were shut out because of this shipping issue and the stupidity of a 3 brick limit (which we all know is only for flippers) then I personally will remain a non-member. Still no response from Lee on my request to cancel membership + a $65 credit they owe me for a previous order screw up.

Stockhom17's 2021 club deck, as you know, was a huge success. We sold out in less than two hours. That's never happened before to us. And, while impressive in some ways, it has become problematic. Unfortunately, many international and domestic members were unable to obtain a club deck. You might be one of them. Please understand that was never our intent.

Based on previous years' experience, the board was optimistic that those who wished to purchase club decks would be able to do so. We appear to have been mistaken, and the club now has a large number of disgruntled members. The level of frustration presented hasn't gone unnoticed.

Our objective, as club leaders, must be to give club benefits to all members. And we've been working tirelessly to alleviate as much disappointment as possible.

After careful consideration of multiple options, we'd like to share our three-step solution with you. Keep in mind that it isn't perfect. But it's the best alternative we can present to the general membership at this time.
1. We are printing 500 more 2021 Club decks. This deck will be the same, except the seal will NOT have a number. If you feel this devalues the numbered decks, we're happy to refund your original purchase at cost. That way, you won't lose anything.
2. To ensure everyone gets a chance to get a deck, we're only allowing sales to members who haven't been able to purchase cards yet. At first, we are going to limit sales to one (1) deck per person. Once everyone has one who wants one, we will open sales up again.
3. We will offer the *UK, Europe, and Asia the first shot at this second run. Then we will allow everyone domestically an opportunity. We are still working out the logistics of how we'll do this. The decks will take a few weeks to print and ship. We will keep you notified of the process.

*Are you located in the UK? Sorry. We're afraid our hands are tied with any professional shipping service. However, we think if one of our board members personally ships a single deck to you, we all might not incur any Brexit wrath. We're not sure if your package will arrive. But we're willing to take that chance. Hopefully, that makes you feel better about this situation.

In the future, we will have new rules set in place so a 2hr sell-out won't happen. We appreciate your understanding of how we move forward.

We're in a new chapter of our club's story. And like I mentioned at the end of our virtual day earlier this month, we will continue to face all these challenges head-on together.

I think this is a good solution. Of course, there will be some cons to it that will probably get some members riled up. Already hearing some complain about this solution. The club is made up of a great group of people that work hard for the hobby, they did not anticipate the demand. Lee is a good guy and wants nothing but to promote card collecting. Every one of us makes mistakes and the people with the pitchforks out ready to attack is a sad statement on our society as a whole right now. I acknowledge this is coming from someone that was able to get a couple of decks.

At the end of the day, it's still another version of the same deck, and most decks nowaday have 2 or more versions. I'll only get one of this release, however. Yes, I'm a completionist, though that is becoming increasing difficult in this hobby

I'll likely get one (since I'm only allowed one) with the money that they still owe me from before, however it's still a somewhat imperfect solution in that I can only get one and shipping for a single deck is insane (I normally get 2 for that reason). Still unlikely to renew my membership.
