Tell me about your close-up pads!

He there! I have been collecting cards for a while but have never used a close up pad. I am however, interested in learning all about yours. What do you like about it? What are your dislikes? What are some features you wish were more available? What is your favorite style and use for them? Post some pictures if ya like…

The reason for my curiosity is that I want to manufacture some quality pads and make them available to our community for a reasonable price. I have a fabric supplier with thousands of designs on hand and a bunch of exotic lumber that I think would really make these pads pop!

Any advise would be greatly appreciated!

Not too spongy if you ask me and I love to see it having a wooden frame/body, like the one you build or D$D's Magic Surface. I like it if it is as flat as possible though; not too elevated from the desk/table you're working on.
