Blaine Signed Foil Gatorbacks

Unread post by DelMagic »

Signed Silver Gatorbacks & Green Foil Gatorbacks
$150 for the 2 deck set
*Due to shipping limitations during the pandemic, this will be a USA release only.
In the future we intend to make our products available to customers worldwide.

AVALIABLE TOMORROW
09.26.21
12:00 noon EST
We are creating a customer experience to reflect our appreciation for your support. We are putting extra care into fulfillment and customer service.

Quality, aesthetics and intrigue define our design priorities. We’re incredibly excited to share our work.

Join us as we redefine the methods of magic.

This will be the only release ever of the autographed Silver Gatorbacks. David Blaine signed 750 decks, which were then factory sealed by the United States Playing Card Company with a red tear strip to protect the authenticity of David’s signature.

We’ve included these exceptional and limited Green Gatorbacks with the Signed Silver Gatorbacks to show our appreciation to those supporting our founding sale.

Only 750 of these highly collectable sets will be available. Given limited availability, neither of these decks will be sold again.

The Green foil Gatorbacks are the rarest printing of any David Blaine deck to date.

SIGNED SILVER GATORBACKS

This will be the first signed release of the sought-after silver Gatorbacks. The white and silver dual-foiled tucks are crafted from Fine Soft Touch stock featuring multi-level sculpted embossing.

As part of the first Red Black Inc release, these highly limited signed decks will be a must-have for collectors.

GREEN FOIL GATORBACKS

Green Gator Backs are the rarest printing of the coveted Gator Back series. These playing cards by David Blaine and artist Mark Stutzman feature fine Soft Touch dual-foiled tucks in white and green that are enhanced with multi-level sculpted embossing for a distinct texture.

Included on the Queen of Spades is a new reveal.

The card backs include Green MetalLuxe on thin crush premium stock for excellent handling.

I'll have to pay $150 for a signed version of a silver foiled deck I already have to get a green foiled deck I don't have.

Oops. The silver ones and some of the previous decks are metalluxe.

Green ones are sold separate

I don't see the green ones being sold separate, can anyone confirm this is the plan? US shipping only? That is a lame excuse for it, no reason not to ship internationally, there is no problems with postal services right now for the most part.

I don't see them either. Which really sucks. I don't need another silver deck that's signed. Gators cost $20 on their site usually so they want $110 for his signature. Hard pass

They're going hard on the FOMO. Never sold again. RAREST PRINTING. Highly limited. Shame to see it happen. Usually Blaine decks are affordable and very available on his site.

The only green version maybe the original black tuck deck which the backs of them don't have foil, little to nothing.

He released the signed silver with the "risegold" backs together limited then released them separately unsigned.

With these two signed silver and green, seems like he's not going that previous route.

Really don't get the point of this comment. He can do what he wants and sell for what he wants, just as we are free not to buy if we don't want.

I get that it's frustrating if you do want them and either can't afford them or don't live in the US or both.

Let's say he indeed "doesn't need the money" does that mean he should sell them at cost? At a small mark up? What is the price then that is "allowed"? Who is the price police then?

Feel free to say the price is redic (I happen to agree) but I don't begrudge him to charge what he can get for them.

The only signed deck I have of his is the Gold Gatorbacks. For myself it's cool to have signed decks but it doesn't matter to me much.

If it was a different color that we didn't have already, I think more people would be content. The price is a factor as well though I agree with the normal $20 single unsigned deck.

Since these should/better be rare, I'll accept. I noticed someone on ebay already put up the green foiled deck that haven't been received yet.

I don't have any autographed decks from Blaine. Does he normally sign on the tuck and then have the decks cello wrapped or is that new for this release?

This is new for this release...he usually takes the cello off and signs the tuck box and that's it

Seems the new site may have shipping calculation problems. It's scary to think otherwise.

SoCal posted on IG, he tried to buy 5 sets, he got hit with $60 shipping! It was $12 shipping for 1. A comment said they could have miscalculated instead of setting $12 as flat fee, it was $12 per set. But still, I wonder how many actually went through with it for multiple sets.

I wouldn’t say that a pair of people on eBay selling for high prices is a confirmation of corporate greed, nor would I think that everyone making decks of cards should have to price them low - people get to decide what to buy, and they buy these in many cases because they think they can resell them now or in the future for more.

I don’t usually agree with the “corporations are people” court ruling, but in this case one can say that not only do corporations have just as much right as anyone else to sell for what the market will bear, but so do individuals, and if anyone is going to call anyone greedy they might as well apply it to people and not blame corporations for it.

I think greedy gets tossed around a lot now adays, and I challenge those tossing it around to sell me their valuable decks for the price they originally sold for plus a reasonable 10%

For starters I’ll buy Dead Man’s v1 decks for 15 bucks and Hana Signatures for 85

Feel free to send me PMs to offer your old Lotrek and Kings Wild decks for similar 10% over original cost…

Not thrilled with the pricing but picked up a set to go with my complete Gatorbacks set. Now I have a gold and silver signed so that's kind of cool. I was hoping to see the Holo Gatorbacks but maybe next time.

Be aware if a shoe box sized package shows up to your door. My deck set came today. The carat case was inside a small brown box. I'm keeping the black shoe box to keep decks inside. I figure about 4-5 dual carat cases will fit inside.

As for the decks themselves, nothing too special. The green pops well.

Guilty as charged, in a sense. I never called people greedy but I used the term shady a lot if prices are gauged in combination with fomo marketing and other strategies.
You're absolutely right though, I guess no one would deny a pay raise if their boss would offer one (for the same job).
You want to reclaim your mind and get it out of the hands of the cultural engineers who want to turn you into a half-baked moron consuming all this trash that’s being manufactured out of the bones of a dying world.

Took a closer look at my decks last night - found that they were banged up a bit, does not appear to be shipping damage though as the dents and dings were rather impossible to achieve in the carat case, so it appears they were banged up before they went into the carat case - got in touch with RedAndBlack and they sent me a shipping label to return them and will send a replacement set on receipt.

Be sure to check yours over carefully…

Had the exact same issue. And have heard a few stories of the same. There was definitely damage incurred during packaging - I suspect because the case they used is a very tight fit for the decks. I've also reached out and gotten the return label for a replacement.
