Great pictures, thanks for sharing.
Table Players Series isn't for me either though. Especially not at that price point. A true Table Players deck would have to come under $10 imo. Same applies to e.g. the virts telling me their $20+ retail P1 deck is a cardistry deck.

Yeah, not feeling these. The white borders only along the sides don't do it for me, I think a back pattern like that is much better suited for full-bleed backs like it shows on the tuck.

I have not been a fan of the Table Players. This might be one I might pick up. It really looks sweet. Thanks for sharing.

Re: Silver Cross (Table Players Vol. 9) by Kings Wild
This one reminds me of textiles that forgot to trim the sides off, dislike the feeling of incompleteness.
In fact, it's not just this one, all playing cards should be banned to do these type of full-bleed top to bottom yet blank left and right type of design.

Doesn't really work for me,especially at the price these go for. I'll pass.

Those look like metallic inks? Front and back as well?

Re: Silver Cross (Table Players Vol. 9) by Kings Wild
I love the tuck, personally. Normally I love silver more than gold, but without anything to balance it out the cards aren't really to my taste. Still a very well done deck I think.
I'd be curious what design Jackson based these off of, since the Table Players are all based off old cigarette/beer/etc. packaging.

I've spent way more than I care to admit on playing cards, but I'll still buy just about anything that Lorenzo, Jackson, or Gio make.

Re: Silver Cross (Table Players Vol. 9) by Kings Wild
I opened mine yesterday in my office, where one of the main light bulbs just gave out. Sooo... it *looks* like the main silver color on the back and front is metallic, and there are definitely, undeniably metallic silver accents on the face cards. I'll get a better sense of how it looks when I replace that stupid bulb later today.
In general, I like the design, and as always, I love that JR is trying new things. It *is* somewhat monochromatic for my tastes (and, to be honest, for poker night), but I am still thinking of adding this to my nightly rotation with the kids. The full-bleed ink coverage make these not fan well (at least, out of the box), but they do still have decent slip and I am totally fine with the feel and the smell.

KWP Table Players Vol. 7 (Lucky Strike)
Making a thread since there isn't one already, this one has EPCC and USPCC versions

EPCC Gilded

USPCC

EPCC
As with all the Table Players decks, the Volume 7 Table players continue the series with a bold design inspired by the iconic Lucky Strike's cigarette packaging. The Vol. 7 Table Players feature the vintage Kings Wild Standard court card set and bold jokers. The Vol. 7 Table Players are unique among the Table Players series, as there are two sister decks, one printed by EPCC and the other printed by USPCC.
The EPPC deck is on the never-before-used EPCC Cardista crushed paper stock that gives it exceptional handling and a uniquely vintage feel.

The real reason for the new thread:
USPCC (Gilded)

USPCC (Gilded)

Scarlet Gilded Vol 7 USPCC Table Players. This beautiful deck is different than the GLD Subscription deck in that it is USPCC. These will be hand-signed and numbered.

He just can't, haha. Must be an inner demon that commands him to write on almost everything that leaves his house. And another one that commands him to create unnecessary special eds. with low numbers.
Soon he'll be in the Guiness Book of World Records for signing the most objects in the world.

I'm sincerely curious if there is any other business than card companies where leftovers are up-priced.

Re: KWP Table Players Vol. 7 (Lucky Strike)
Looks like all ingredients (tuck box, Postage Paid stamp seal, cards) but the gilding are leftovers. Which - don't get me wrong - is an awesome thing. Minimizing waste is a noble trait. It's just that I would expect something in return for helping you clearing your storage.
I could of course be totally wrong and USPCC printed specifically for you 193 decks of cards and Clove St. Press was so kind to specifically supply you with a 193 tuckboxes (in three colours) run. If that is the case then I'll humbly apologize.

Re: KWP Table Players Vol. 7 (Lucky Strike)
He means the final product is not a leftover. He just took as many pieces as he could and made a full product out of them. Isn't the "something in return" the product itself?Harvonsgard wrote: ↑Tue Jul 27, 2021 11:51 pm Looks like all ingredients (tuck box, Postage Paid stamp seal, cards) but the gilding are leftovers. I know what he means; he appearantly not what I.
And no, something in return is not something that costs way more than the original product - not in my realm. Everyone is of course free to make that descision for themselves.
P.S.: the "quote" button is not a reply button. Since the update a lot of folks seem to confuse that.

Technically, it's still a reply button, but with some added work.
But yeah, the green ones were gone in an instant. Grey ones, maybe a minute. The white ones were strangling behind at almost five minutes.

Is there a USPCC variant without gilding also available? Gilding seems like an overkill for a players' cards.

Given that KWP pricing for gilded cards is usually $45, I doubt anyone is buying these to play with them.masagin303 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 29, 2021 11:46 am Is there a USPCC variant without gilding also available? Gilding seems like an overkill for a players' cards.

Re: KWP Table Players Vol. 7 (Lucky Strike)
$20 each isn't bad, but I really don't like cigarettes. So much so, I don't like playing cards designed by playing cards. In the case of KWP, there are some decks I don't like full stop. Given the large number of decks put out, there are bound to be a few I don't like. Not that KWP needed my money anyway. Sold out. Lucky I don't have a desire to try to secure these on Ebay.

Re: KWP Table Players Vol. 7 (Lucky Strike)
I actually went to the KWP website and saw $60. I just assumed that was for the set. Upon further review I see it says "From $60". Yeah, "From" means $60 each I guess. I can't see the full set cost. I don't really care. I wouldn't have been interested at $20 to be honest.
Again, not that KWP needs my money for that offering. They are all sold out. Hard to argue with success.

That's why I asked if there's actually a non-gilded variant of the deck to play with. Preferably USPCC made.Strag wrote: ↑Thu Jul 29, 2021 12:09 pmGiven that KWP pricing for gilded cards is usually $45, I doubt anyone is buying these to play with them.masagin303 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 29, 2021 11:46 am Is there a USPCC variant without gilding also available?
