Super odd theme, but the characters look great lol. Especially love the “Asst to” king of diamonds and the food inspector jack of spades.

Jack of clubs looks eerily similar to every long-time line cook I’ve ever encountered.

This is awesome! That is what I really like about Jackson's work, he is always branching out and doing different things. I am not sure there is a designer out there that has the breadth of ability that he does ... incredible! He is always pushing himself to do different things. Very nicely done!

If Jackson didn't post these I would have assumed it's produced by Tommy Wiseau.

It just goes to show how versatile Jackson is as an artist.

If you don't occasionally watch his drawing programs on YouTube, you should. For a playing card collector, I find it fun to watch these being created. You also get to pick up a few Easter eggs Jackson puts in from time to time. Or where he gets his inspiration. You will never guess the inspiration for the Jack of Spades in this deck, or his model he used for the Peter Jack Flash Joker.

Was this the deck that was supposedly going to be released early on when the subscription first started? The ones supposedly wrapped in butcher paper?

Yes, this is that deck. It is nothing like what I remember initially discussing. Honestly, this was the one subscription deck that I was really hoping would never see the light of day. I must say I am thrilled with the re-imagined deck design.

Oh, hi Mark.

I'm super psyched about these. They remind me almost of Ren and Stimpy meet 2000AD.

As much as I appreciate the "money" decks that started JR's card career I love these cartoonish art decks so much more.
Move on, nothing to see here.

Nice deck for sure, but DOTY? Really would be a stretch for me, especially what I have seen from Lotrek and Lorenzo to come this year, not to mention Giovanni. Oh and there is Jocu and Jack Brutus Penny. Yup it's gonna be a tough tough year to decide for me.

Certainly is good to see Jackson branching out into different styles though.

Strag, you need to go and see the live streams on youtube (if you have the time) to understand why I made that statement... Still, I can approve it as DOTY! :D

I love the Aces~ see that meat cutting charts is a very iconic thing, just have this deck in the kitchen and see the aces for guidelines hahaha

Is this a Story deck or just your original one?

This is just an original deck. I can't imagine what literature the meat deck could come from. A cook book maybe....

I really appreciate that JR is pushing himself creatively. It really shows. I just marvel at how he can put out solid decks every month. On top of that, 3 different versions that are distinctly different from each other. Im wonding if the gilded will be a meat locker or refrigerator/freezer book style tuck?
I haven't slept for ten days, because that would be too long.

Both the limited and gilded versions are on styrofoam plates wrapped in cellophane. Not sure what the other differences are. No book box as far as I know.

I wasn't referring to this deck specifically, but in general. But now I know about the styrofoam, it's pretty cool.

At first I though the courts of each suit corresponds to what meat shown in the Ace, bur I guess it’s not
