Hello everybody,
a friend of ours the amazing and talented artist Veronica Bonacini saw that we are designing playing cards and fell in love with the idea of doing so.
(For those who follow our current Pixel Kingdom campaign: Don't worry, we won't be distracted by this, we're still working hard to get attention for the campaign. Veronica will be working independently on this deck for the time being and we'll join you as soon as we have time.)
Here is the kick-off with the first three heroes:
Orpheus and Eurydice as King and Queen of Hearts after their legendary love and Perseus as the Jack of Hearts to complete the court.
Her personal and most favorite style is kind of rough, we were wondering if you like it on a playing card?
Comments and feedback very appreciated.
We are as always very curious about your opinions.

Re: Heroes vs. Monster - A greek mythology deck (Drafting)
Art is a subjective thing, just like color. It ticks the marks for some while missing for others. I'd like more color on the heart in the indices so it's easier for at a glance recognition. The suit indicator heart on the court itself looks good with two rings of color, that extra thickness helps. (Probably also that's larger)
Yes, the more I look at it the more I'd like the art to be more refined. I like the scrollwork behind the courts that's fun. The posture and posing of two of the courts look to be fun as well. I wish the queen was sized to meet the other two courts better and in a more dynamic pose rather than Bella from twilight (vacant eyed suits this lacking personality pose) in comparison to the king and jack. I think the direction this is headed in is a winner and of course I'd like to see more.

TL:DR It's completely up to you.
We can still be friends.
I actually like playing cards.

Love your art style—not something I’ve seen on cards before.

I know it says "paused," but any update? Is Veronica still pursuing this?

Unfortunately not, for now. She has other responsibilities and priorities at the moment.
We would be happy to continue working on this deck if the opportunity arises.
Don't hold your breath, though. I don't want to make promises I can't keep.
I'll let you know if anything changes.
