I was expecting a sealed deck with minor imperfections...like encarded´s seconds.
but that is a damaged goods item, not a second hand item.
a second hand item - is something that has been bought by someone, used by that person, and then sold again, just in this case the item has been sent back to the creator and then sold again by the creator.
"Seconds" are factory seconds, meaning they are imperfect products though still brand new. Second hand means they've already been in someone else's hands, so they are definitely not brand new.

Two of the decks were already opened the seal broken and barely used (shuffled cards inside the box).
There was no word about that the decks were already opened.
I went to Kingswildproject website to check the text but the page was removed so i used Google to find it for me in the Google Cache : http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/s ... =firefox-a" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I´m not happy and i seriously feel cheated.
Second hand is a common terminology used in book stores meaning used. I keep missing out on the decks as I work nights and never see the posting in time to snag one. Amazing you got 3!

If you feel cheated send the decks back. My return address is on my site. I'll give you a full refund plus your shipping. But if you buy second hand decks from anyone please don't expect them to be brand speakin.
Okay my apology ...i have posted in anger and since english isnt my native language it seems that i misunderstood the meaning of SECOND HAND in terms of this sale.
I truely believed that i would get decks with the seal intact and just minor defects like edges dinged etc. and that i got frustrated with that expectation is hopefully comprehensible. So again Sorry!
I gave the decks to a fellow collector now who didn´t mind open decks at all.
Now its up to me to get the Silver Certificate and Gold Certifciate decks in sealed conditions.
Maybe under the "Knowledge Base" thread, we should have a playing card list of terms, etc.. The basics..tuck case, pips, etc? Along with some terms of condition... New, Like New, Opened, Second Hand, Seconds, ...etc...

Not a bad idea at all.
I'm on it.
EDIT: Done. Let me know of anything that should be added, as I'm sure there are.
Ooh ooh - "Custom", "Squeezers", "Strippers", "Registration" (cut), and possibly Finish sub-definitions for "Texture" and "Coating"?
Then there's customisation elements like metallic inks, paper types (vellum, UV500 etc), names of finishes and textures, foiling, embossing, debossing...
Well my Black Reserve and Gold Certificate decks are on their way. I had to get them from playingcardsdotnet and my wallet is still smoking! That makes a complete set of the branded decks. I have second decks of the Reserve note and Federal 52s. I too missed out on the Second Hand decks. Here's to hoping for more in the future.
PS I am willing to part with a kidney for another round of seconds....
I found something interesting being sold on ebay, this wooden box for playing cards clearly meant to go with a Federal52 deck. Now, it isn't designed by Jackson, but some Russian woman named by Nataly Loseva but in the box itself I'm not sure that there is any design that is stolen from Jackson, rather meant to be so that it looks like a genuine Federal52 piece without actually being one. She does use a Gold Certificate deck in one of the marketing images however. The box does look rather nice all things considered, but is this copying or paying homage?
Jackson, what is your take on this? Also a couple of pics:

I dream of a world where wars are fought only by having dance offs. I also dream that a Finnish playing card designer would exist. The former seems more likely to happend.

I am a bit confused about this Founder's Collection. I know the price will be $225. It will consist of 5 Federal 52 decks each with a unique and special box?

Yep. $225 gets you the full set of 5 boxes (each with an OG Federal 52 deck inside), each numbered out of 200.
Edit: Also, while the decks inside are the same, they are each wrapped with a money band of different denominations depending on the outer box version.
I've spent way more than I care to admit on playing cards, but I'll still buy just about anything that Lorenzo, Jackson, or Gio make.

Thanks! These will likely sell quickly but I am just not sure it is worth spending $225 on.
Considering what the original Fed52 sells for in the aftermarket, this isn't a bad price for those that don't have it. I personally won't be buying them since I already have one and I don't need 5 more. But the wrappers are pretty cool.

I got on and got it to my basket, but it sold out before I could finish check out. That happens to me all the time at KWP for their limited decks for some time. It is fine. I need the money anyway for some other projects. Congrats to those that picked the set up.
