Hey everyone! Thanks for starting this post Harvonsgard. I am waiting for Gambler's to start shipping Umbra before I launch Dominion. In the meantime, please consider hitting the "Notify me on Launch" button on my preview page. This will give you instant notification to when I launch Dominion. Just follow this link:

I am always on the look out for how to improve the scope of my projects. One of the things I have really tried to work on is the delivery time. After all of this time, I can never get a project below the 6 month mark from the closing of the Kickstarter campaign. I thought that would happen with Umbra, but Chinese New Year and delays at port kept it from getting to the warehouse sooner. There is always something right?
So, the only thing I can do is order the production sooner than when the Kickstarter launches. I have ALREADY ordered the quantities for Dominion. This is a big risk on my part. I figured this can be that time, since Kickstarter now allows for the Add-on count. I will be able to keep track of how much inventory is left during the Kickstarter, which could not be done before. Every reward and add-on will have a limited amount to them. This is just to keep them from going over.
Of course, there is really only one down side to this. If we run out during the Kickstarter, there is no more. I had to come to the decision to be ok with that. I am figuring if we get to around $70,000 to $80,000 we are about to run out of decks. I actually hope you all see, this is really a good thing for you all.
I am producing 3 decks plus a Gilded version. A standard edition (1500), Full Foil edition (1200) and a Gilded Edition (500). The Gilded will be the standard with Red Gilded edges.
Dominion will also only be a 20 day project instead of the usual 30 days I do for a Kickstarter project. If you have ever done a Kickstarter, you know how slow the middle of a Kickstarter is. My best time has been during the first two weeks of a project. I have always hated the length of the middle and end of a Kickstarter
If you look at the preview image, you will see two decks in a case. This is a beautiful 2 deck box that I worked with Lawrence (LPCC) to produce. There is a limited Quantity. Ordered 400. Each one will have a Gilded and a Full Foil deck that goes inside. They will be sealed with a 3d embossed numbered seal. It has a magnetic flap for the enclosure. Only the best!
Lastly, I just want to describe what Full Foil means. Here is a write-up that I had Lawrence send me:
Double-Sided Full-Foil on ultra-thin card stock
Imagine spray painting a mirror, you would have some shiny silver bits that you leave without paint, and some colorful bits depending on how much and which color you spray on the mirror. This is a rudimentary example of how the full-foil printing and production process works.
Typically this printing technique is used on trading cards (Pokemon) but never on playing cards due to the research and development involved in ensuring the playing cards handle just as well as a standard deck, with no clumping or chipped edges. Legends has perfected this technique for playing card production, however it is reserved for LPCCβs top print customers only as it requires advanced artwork setup.
Full-foil is one of the latest innovations from Legends PCC, and more recently double sided full-foil with UV inks, extra shiny exactly where you want it to be, and ultra precise. Full-foil is beneficial because you can overprint multiple colors to make any part of the artwork shine with varying reflectivity levels, exactly where you want it to be. No more detail loss or artwork shift like you can see with hot foiling.
Lawrence has really done a great job at producing some of the best and innovative cards. I could be more excited to partner with him on the production of this deck.
Sorry for the long post, but just wanted to let you all know what's coming and even to get your thoughts.
Thanks!
Jody
