Looks like another nice deck though. I just hope they can avoid using kickstarter this time.
I think the reason they are in a series is that they chose to adopt a different medium to compose their artwork, first was blue blood w pen drawings, second was bohemia with watercolour/paint. This might be the reason they are in a series.

To me that sounds like just another difference. Decks being in a series would suggest they have something in common, no?
Uusi has become one of my favorite deck designers and their third deck looks like another strong offering. One of the areas Uusi excels at is their exquisite court cards, so I'm really looking forward to seeing what they'll look like. I think it would be awesome if they incorporate the tuck box design into the clothing of the court cards.
Well UUSI decks were already very expensive to begin with, so that's very unlikely

If you look closely, the sides and bottom of the tuckbox have the same design and text as the Bohemia deck.
That could probably be said about most decks from the same producer. Simply using the same font and text on the box isn't exactly a recurring theme.
Sorry if it seems like I'm making this a big deal, it really isn't. I just think it's silly to call them a series for no other apparent reason than capitalizing on collectors with OCD.
I agree Svinger, these seem to be a series in name only. I would like to see more Blue Blood esque follow up. Still, I am always impressed with Uusi products, perhaps they can stop by and shed some light on the series quandry
Just saw the thread started on Royal Optik and wanted to jump in and respond to the "series" question. We are calling these six decks a series because that is all the decks we plan to make for our design company. The challenge for us was to create six unique, Limited Edition decks that made up a single collection, hence the term "series."
We will be releasing more images of the deck itself very soon and want to thank everyone for your support on our card designs.
As for the tuck design, the 52 on the side and the copy layout on the bottom has become our signature layout or "look". The font used on the bottom is unique to Royal Optik as are the fonts on our other decks.
It will be launching on KS early next week - as soon as we have an exact time/day I'll let you guys/girls know...
Thanks for addressing that, Peter. Seems a bit strange to set out to make 6 decks, no more no less. But I guess it's good to have a goal like that to work towards
I hope they do better and better with each successive deck they produce so that by the end of their six deck series, they decide to continue on with more decks in the future.
These cards look very promising!
The back design fits ,IMHO so well to the style of the face cards. Also the back design shows this nice pattern in a fan.
I have no doubts that this deck will be a instant win!
just crossing my fingers for fair international shipping prices
Just wanted to let those interested know that we will be launching the Uusi "Royal Optik" Playing Card Deck tomorrow morning on Kickstarter (the 16th) at 11:00am CST. UC has been incredibly supportive on our past deck designs and we hope Royal Optik is received as well. Thanks for taking a look at the project!
I've been anxiously awaiting and constantly checking KickStarter for your new project. You'll have my immediate support for multiple decks. Your two previous decks are top ranked in my collection.
Got me sum dem sumbitches. Although I have a dirty feeling whenever I back a KS project Uusi has always done me right. Looks like these cards are going to raise a substantial sum of deniro
