MailChimp playing cards alternate tuck

Unread post by bdawg923 »

Anyone know anything about these https://www.ebay.com/itm/theory11-Mailc ... 4647417643

Never seen this tuck before. Maybe a deck MailChimp commissioned for their employees or something?
Looking to buy (DM me if selling please!):
-Limbo v1 decks
-2017 NPCCD Bronze, Silver, Emerald
-2018 NPCCD Green Pawn & Missing Island Prototypes

This comment is mod-approved if you're able to see it.

It's doesn't look attractive enough for me to buy. They need to stop playing and release a winter or another version of the deck (besides this one). The summer version retailed at $10 but was selling for $200-$250.

Saw someone asking about it in reddit as well, I would think if it's real it would have been a prototype? Seems very different from the others

The founder/owner of theory11 said in an interview that people can't imagine how many decks TXI did which aren't on the radar or known by collectors. I guess this is an employee or event version that now surfaced for the first time.

This is a deck that was commissioned for Mailchimp. This deck was never sold and mailchimp was given all the stock to do with as they pleased.

I bought one of these a little while ago and asked Lyle at Theory 11 to send some photos.

I would've been mad as hell if I bought this, looks like crap.

Haha, one man's trash...
I actully quite like this deck. The front of the tuck is never in the $300 realm for me though but I get that some value rare over actual design.
Seems like it gets to a happy new owner soon since it's sold now.

Do the regular MailChimps feature the same courts?

a summary of what i posted to reddit:
I reached out, and spoke with 2 people at T11 and they confirmed that this is a legit deck for a private run (they would not comment on more details other than "a small run"). I reached out to The Rocket Science Group (mailchimps d/b/a parent company) and they confirmed it was made as an internal promo for a contest.

hope that helps
