Re: The Eye Of The Ocean - Stockholm 17
I love the artwork; colour not so much but since it is a render we'll have to see after the prototype I guess.
A night sky blue would be awesome or at least a more teal green like the hair and beards on the card faces. Night sky blue would be my top pick though.
Foil, hot or cold?

I was a bit ambivalent about this until I saw the back design, and now it has my attention. Let’s hope to god he doesn’t do another wee plastic model as part of his campaign.

Re: The Eye Of The Ocean - Stockholm 17
I guess this is the best back I've ever seen, at least by my personal taste. It's so tight, but rich, complex, but easily readable, foil is naturally embedded in the design and serves a purpose. My gosh, I do love it.

I think that such nice touches are really the reason why we follow (relatively) small producers, rather than buying everything from Amazon. I personally do praise creators that go the extra mile to produce something unusual.

Re: The Eye Of The Ocean - Stockholm 17
That’s the exciting and unpredictable thing about independent artistic creators, there is hit and miss in all of their productions, and tastes vary. I guess that’s why I’m not a completionist.
Harvonsgard, you don’t happen to be an S17 Patreon and have had a sneak peek of what is to come would you?

There are still a lot of cool things being worked out. I wouldn't expect it to be released this year. Probably early 2021, but I could be mistaken.

So sad I can't afford this. A fourth Patreon on top of my KWP sub is just a bridge too far.

Re: The Eye Of The Ocean - Stockholm 17
My Stockholm17 second year Patreon rewards came in last night. I just got to unwrap my beauty and hang it on the wall. Other stuff was nice too. #9 for me.
From what I could see of the group shot, there were about 50 of these frames made.

This deck will be available in one of the tiers of the Eye of the Ocean Campaign, so you still have a chance to pick one up, though I am sure it will be a higher priced tier and they will probably go really fast.portcullis wrote: ↑Thu Jan 14, 2021 8:23 am So sad I can't afford this. Re: The Eye Of The Ocean - Stockholm 17
I haven't opened mine, but am #14. Delighted, just the same as last year. The package is great, and now my only question is which space will suit them best, and which additional items will be framed.
I would love to see what can be done with musou black paint for top tiers in the future and imagine that "void" would be really striking.

From the first concepts posted by S17 I'm saying this is going to be a DOTY 2021. No doubt.
