Re: Like Lightning Playing Cards
I'm in for the gilded pair but I would have liked to know if it will have different seals, and some pictures of them.
I haven't slept for ten days, because that would be too long.

I completely agree. The green patina / copper combination is really attractive, while I'm not nearly as interested in the gold. Now I have to figure out if I want to shell out for the gilded variants...james001a wrote:You really need to give that copper deck more attention. My opinion is that deck is nicer than the gold. Re: Like Lightning Playing Cards
Hello to everyone!
Previously I asked you about the colors for the decks and decided to leave both primary colors. But also today I added the third tuck box! This variant is a combination of red and cobalt, which associates with Red Rock Canyon and blue sky over. So, here is the Cobalt edition - already available on KS!

Re: Like Lightning Playing Cards
Well that just looks fantastic now. Nice job. Kinda reminds me of Superman's colors but in a really good way. I'm in already for the gilded, so do I just add it on the survey?

Why not just add it on right now?
I've spent way more than I care to admit on playing cards, but I'll still buy just about anything that Lorenzo, Jackson, or Gio make.

Re: Like Lightning Playing Cards
Will we be able to get all three decks (gold, copper and cobalt) instead of two (gold and copper) if we back the half brick and brick tiers?

Re: Like Lightning Playing Cards
This slider box is decorated with special Italian paper “Fabiano” and has dense textile ribbon for easy opening. You can add-on it (45$ for USA and 55$ for world) and mix the decks as you like! 3 of you who add this box to the pledges will receive an appreciation surprise from our team - 4 decks of Amazons playing cards! The winners will be chosen randomly and we post the names when the project ends. If at least 20 backers add this half brick box, we’ll add silver foil on the print.

The final 24 hours started and we met the next stretch goal - special box for 12 decks (full brick). Thank you for the huge support, trust and kind words! Don’t forget to add everything you wanted - there will be no pledge manager after the project.

Re: Like Lightning Playing Cards
Boy do I regret that decision! I got these the other day and the tucks looked great. But apparently the cards were supposed to have metallic inks and do not. Per latest KS update:
I personally understand their decision not to fix the problem since that would cost a ton of money. The damage has been done. But I'm not sure why there weren't any other reparations offered? No coupon code for previous decks? No discounts on future projects? Not even a sticker? Not good customer service IMO. I for one am not in an uproar about this situation but I can assure you this much- I won't be backing any further Sviatoslav projects again. And I bet I'm not the only one after reading this update.Dear backers,
We have now the full understanding of the situation with metallic inks absence on the cards. As we previously mentioned in comments, the inks were included and payed through the invoice and we found out from your comments about this problem.
As it was the first time we added extra on the cards (previously we upgraded only the tuck boxes), it was our fault as we didn’t notice there were no inks on the electronic proofs we have approved. Actually we still do not understand how these should have looked like in electronic files, as we don’t have any example. And we have to admit we had too big expectations from the printing company as we’re based in another country and couldn’t check the real proofs. This will be taken into consideration in our further communication.
As the authors, we’re responsible for this situation. We hope for your understanding as we don’t have any opportunity to change this now as the cost of inks is less than 2% of money we raised through this campaign.
We’re very sorry this happened and be sure this is a very important lesson for us.
Best regards,
Sviatoslav and Oksana

Oof moment. Unfortunate news indeed. Matt showed them yesterday online and I was wondering why the back is so dull. Now I know why...

Re: Like Lightning Playing Cards
I got the half brick set myself. Mine came in yesterday and looked great. I got the email about the cards not having metalic inks as well. That is a bit disappointing. However, as I like my set in their packaging, I am likely not opening them anyway. So, I am less fussed about this development. Metallic inks don't make a huge bump up for me anyway. Nice, but not the end of the universe. Hopefully, he will be more diligent about this though in the future.

Just got my gilded set in today. Looks like they used some cheap hard wax on the gilded box, which seems to have shattered sometime on the trip from Ukraine to the US.

This is how it arrived. Some of the pieces actually migrated out of the wooden box and rattled around the cardboard shipping box.shermjack wrote: ↑Fri Apr 30, 2021 3:02 amCan you show some pics of what happened to your box?EvilDuncan wrote: ↑Thu Apr 29, 2021 9:55 am Just got my gilded set in today. Re: Like Lightning Playing Cards
In my experience with mailing with wax seals the quality/price are not necessarily related to how durable or brittle it is. That being said it's a shame that a more durable wax wasn't used. I hope you're able to get this resolved.EvilDuncan wrote: ↑Thu Apr 29, 2021 9:55 am Just got my gilded set in today. Re: Like Lightning Playing Cards
Just to update this, I was able to get a replacement gilded box shipped to me with an intact seal. I shimmied the laces off and swapped in my gilded decks and transferred the sticker with my name on it using a hair dryer and it's good as new. Very satisfied!
