Saw the whole creative process on Instagram; this is absolutely a no brainer for me.
Love when creators put effort and uses some feedback to get the deck right!

Finally a zodiac related deck that looks promising!

Yes this really looks promising. Deckidea has been putting out some interesting decks.
I haven't slept for ten days, because that would be too long.

Re: The Constellation Playing Card by Deckidea
A better look at the court cards!
For this version, all the gold area will be printed with Gold metallic ink. I am still working on the UV sensitive version.
While it is not showing well here due to the size, each pip actually has a Gold metallic border.
The style I am going for is a slightly quirky but mostly classy functional design.
As for the UV sensitive version, I am trying to make a very cool effect. I will update that once those renderings are ready.

Re: The Constellation Playing Card by Deckidea
Though people would say that the courts are one-way because of text/zodiac names, I wouldn't care because the drawings are good. I'm definitely pledging for this campaign.

Re: The Constellation Playing Card by Deckidea
While I was unable to use gold metallic ink in this mock up, I think the cards are showing tremendous amount of details! I might make some lines slightly thicker in the large run, but I think it is looking fine right now!
(P.S. somehow the images are not showing how vibrant the cards are suppose to be, might have been downgraded automatically. If you click to enlarge it, the real version is showing. There are also better versions on my IG. https://www.instagram.com/deckidea/

I'm glad they decided to put all the zodiacs/constellations in one deck instead of 12 like other creators.

Re: The Constellation Playing Card by Deckidea
Very nice design, can definitely tell that a significant amount of effort has gone into making this one. The UV version mock-up looks ridiculously cool. If each card has the constellation traced out in UV ink, this will be a must-own.
HOWEVER, money is tight and there are other buys I like more, so I’m probably going to have to pass. Good job on this one though!

Yeah yeah slider. I REALLY want to know more about that emblem on top. Is that a wax seal or something?

Re: The Constellation Playing Card by Deckidea
so that is actually suppose to be a metal coin. It should come with every half halfbrick box. (or a certain tier of half brick. It should also have a vacuum formed plastic cover on top to protect the coinKingfisherZero wrote: ↑Thu Jan 07, 2021 11:18 am Yeah yeah slider. I REALLY want to know more about that emblem on top. These are mock up photos. There are still minor details that needs to be tweaked, but this is a sneak peak. (Also for some reason the color of these photos have been automatically changed, so please click onto the images to see the actual color. The color should be slightly warmer)

Re: The Constellation Playing Card by Deckidea
Price pending, I will be pledging for these. Some minor nit-picks: as mentioned above, I wish the courts weren't one-way. I don't mind the banner separating the two images in this particular design but simply adding an extra fold or ribbon and writing the text upside-down is not the solution. I've seen that done before and it doesn't look good- too busy. So maybe the design pictured is the best option... IDK. Like I said, minor issue.
The other issue, although minor also, is not something I expect to be changed but I really wish it were. And that is the tuck. I think the design is fine the way it is but I wish the "constellation oval" were much larger. I like when the deck titles are large and obvious.
Everything else is spot on- printer, artwork, backs, theme (I LOVE that it's just one deck). And even as-is, if the price is right on these I'm in!
EDIT: I don't have access to Photoshop on the computer I'm currently on but here is an absolutely awful render of what I'm talking about: Something like that.

Re: The Constellation Playing Card by Deckidea
The text in the courts are still debatable. I personally do want to make it a 2 way design, but we will see.
As for that text issue with the tuck. I think it’s more of a my personal choice of making it a little more elegant. But also it has its function, you will understand when you see the other color variants.
Thanks got being interested in the deck though

Re: The Constellation Playing Card by Deckidea
I agree that the smaller title does look more elegant. I just like this deck so much that when I display it among my collection, I want it to *POP*! Like, "BAM! THIS is a constellation deck, cool!" But again, it's not stopping me from pledging.deckidea wrote: ↑Tue Jan 12, 2021 11:39 am The text in the courts are still debatable. I personally do want to make it a 2 way design, but we will see.

I agree with Vasta, I like the larger "Constellation" on the tuck box.

Re: The Constellation Playing Card by Deckidea
After consideration, I made the title a bit bigger, not as large as Vasta made it, but it’s bigger than what it used to be.
That way the text is more visible yet maintaining that sense of elegance.

Originally I said the upside down text in the banner of the court cards would not look good but now that I see them I think it definitely looks better than the old, one-way banner.
I am excited for the launch!

These have grown on me and I look forward to backing it. I really like the looks of the two cards with the constellations on them.
