Right above it looks like the "Overlook" deck. .... I wonder what the hundred prototypes look like....
(USPCC employee: "What was wrong with that one, Mr. Buck?" "It was a little too much to the left." "Okay, I'll try better next time.")

Is there anything special about this deck other than it's D&D and rare?

I got one as part of a D&D mystery deck back when I still bought decks from them. The price for them is astonishing.

Geez...deck is going over $200 right now. Feels like the market is due for a crash if/when this one gets a wider release.

On their Instagram they said this deck will be available with an upcoming reprint of the book. Outside of the mystery decks, I think its only other way it is planned to be released.

They'll probably do the same thing as they did with the original, then - only selling the deck bundled with the book.

Not entirely. Same was with Gold Standards or Gold Artisan, some folks didn't get the memo of the wider release and still payed premium for the two aforementioned decks.

Ha...and just noticing now that the Overlook deck - which I did get - going for a premium price too. People be crazy. The more I think about it, the more I think that IAOCP is going to follow the Gold Standards model. Yes, a fairly desirable deck regardless, but it's going to be trickled out so slowly into the market that it will always feel less obtainable. It will be the rarest feeling 2000+ deck run out there. Effective marketing if that's the case...just hope they don't overdo it. One deck at a time under that release model, please.

Is there two releases of the Overlook deck? One on ebay appears to be a gold/tan color rather than the green. Any one know if there was another limited release?

Don't go crazy over the AoP Overlook deck.

There's an Overlook deck coming to Kickstarter pretty soon, and the creator has teased this since October. Not gonna go into who copied who cos it's irrelevant, both are copies of The Shining's theme and carpet, with the KS one having a two-way back design rather than AoP's one-way (unusable) back.

This is the upcoming KS deck:

50/50 - wrong thread yes, but Overlook was mentioned prior by Tim and Stud727 here so, it's kinda on-topic after the derailing of the thread, lol.

Back on track;

As suspected the tuck is the best thing about that deck - recoloured standard courts

IAOCP v2 now in variety box. I think very good deal considering the Maker Private reserve too.
