Each suit represents a different system in the body. The courts highlight those systems by revealing a cross-section of sorts where we can witness impossible anatomy

And also these four suits going to represent different kingdoms, no doubt, based on the clothes: Medieval, Asian, Arabic, and African?

for not choosing it to represent one suit; there're enough decks on the market that seem to come straight from there...

Re: Anatomica Playing Cards - [COMING SOON]
Creating a deck is simple. Getting it funded is a whole different ball game. Once you look at costs involved to produce and ship to fulfilment centres, import taxes (if producer and fulfilment are in different countries), ks fees and the plethora of other costs. Plus the time it takes working through all this stuff. I can honestly see why a lot of decks never pass the prototype stage. It's a risk with very little reward.rousselle wrote: ↑Sat Dec 05, 2020 7:33 pm BadPete developed a concept with some folks who were successful card designers/promoters here (I can't recall off the top my head their name... the Scott Bros? Scotti Bros? Scott James? They had a number of successful projects before they disappeared.) I'm not sure why the project fizzled, but it was at about the same time that his collaborators fizzled out, so that probably had something to do with it.
Victor Jose (VJose, Jericoholic, et al) designed a deck, and I have one of the prototypes. Not sure why that didn't go further, either, but Victor is still here on the boards and active in the community.
Sprouts' concept was freakin' off the hook, but it needed more work and he ended up wandering off, as well. I miss Sprouts.
I'm really looking forward to your project, Baconwise! Bring on the teaser images!
But Bacon is a beast, so I am sure his deck will sail through the process.

Re: Anatomica Playing Cards - [JANUARY 11th on KS]
Prototype pictures are out in the wild! Keep in mind these were printed with MPC, so the tuck does not show any embossing or foil that is planned. Also, card backs and court cards have had some slight adjustments from the designs seen here. Cheers!

Re: Anatomica Playing Cards - [JANUARY 11th on KS]
I'm looking forward to this one. At the beginning I wasn't intrigued to be honest. The teasers didn't work for me. Now, after seeing the prototypes it makes much more sense. It definitely grew on me.
There are still small things that I personally would change - for example I would flip the ratio of the more normal to more customized pips - but overall I like it.
A tad more realistic - not completely - and it would be a jackpot for me personally. Overall it is a great deck nonetheless. Very well done.
Those jokers and the ace if hearts are my personal highlights - pure awesomeness![😃](//cdn.jsdelivr.net/gh/twitter/twemoji@latest/assets/svg/1f603.svg)

That means a lot and it's something I love about this community. Any support would be greatly appreciated, whether backing, a shout-out, or just some positive vibes. This is a passion project for a hobby I love, so if it doesn't succeed, I will still be out there collecting. If it does succeed, I will feel proud knowing I created a project that doesn't lack the features you would expect from a premium deck. Thanks again for the kind words of encouragement and feel free to follow along!Harvonsgard wrote: ↑Fri Jan 08, 2021 4:44 pm I'm looking forward to this one.
