NativeTongue, your collabs with Doc have been getting better and better designwise. So expectations are raised. Looking forward to this.

Thanks, man. This one is shaping up to be really nice, with some unique elements. Excited about it for sure.

This appeals to me. Will wait for more pics. Based on samurai/shogun?

Here's the back design. I wanted to keep things clean and also the bold straight lines are inspired by traditional Japanese architecture. I also wanted the overall feeling to be that if you were in feudal Japan preparing for battle and saw the deck fanned out amongst the weapons and armor it wouldn't seem too out of place. I left the borders white to add more contrast against the red metallic ink when fanned or spread. There may be a few minor tweaks in the end, but probably not. Hope you guys like it...

Back wasn't what I was expecting, but that's not a bad thing. Looking forward to seeing the rest.

Here's a peak at the current style of the courts. As with the backs, still making some tweaks

Courts seem great. I think Back could be better.

Agree that the back needs tweaking. There's just something ... about these cards I can't place. I'm interested but I'm not willing to part with any money just yet. Maybe it's as simple as revising the amount of white space on the cards (front and back). You're nearly there, but I'm not committing as is.

As stated above, courts are nice, but the backs aren't what comes to mind when I think Japanese. It's like a fusion of different current styles .

If I’m being completely honest, something about the backs haven’t felt right to me either. I’ve had a gut feeling that they didn’t live up to what I originally set out to do. I’ll be going back and changing them. Thanks for the feedback.

Other than that, aside from a couple courts the deck is finished.

Here’s a look at the deck itself! Did everything in a block printing style. The new back will match as well

Well, it ain't suitable for poker, but I think it looks pretty good anyway.

One small thing about that 7oC, if you reverse the middle pip rather than the right pip, it becomes more symmetrical while still having a 3/4 split of pips in each direction (hope that makes sense).

You’re absolutely right on the pips. Thx!

This is looking fricking amazeballs and authentic to the true Japanese Bushido, it's giving me so much Ghost of Tsushima vibes. COUNT ME IN WITH NO DOUBT.

One feedback though, the corner indices will be hard to read in fans with that placement. I don't have a better thought on how to do it, but I'll take the sacrifice for the sake of aesthetics if this is the final choice

I like this. I wish the red full-bleed aspects of the back design matched the front of the cards. But seeing as that's my biggest nit-pick, I'm probably still gonna pick these up.

You can disregard that back design posted previously. It’s being totally redone to match the style of the front

As of now USPCC if they can avoid shutting down again because of covid. in that case we may have to look at other options.

Funded in less than half an hour. These are off to a great start and I look forward to seeing the mysterious stretch goal deck. Whether it unlocks or not, this was an easy decision. Congrats to Brad and Mike!

I've gotten a bit fatigued with this projects and all the miscommunications and various gildings, etc they have. Dropped my Imperial collection.

I agree, I am getting KS fatigue from many campaigns, hard to follow, too many variants.

I am still in here for 2 limited decks. When I first backed, this seemed like it was going to be the best deck offered. Now with all the variants, it is not even close. I am tempted to drop and just wait for a reseller to have them.

It's been yet another learning experience, like every previous campaign. Regardless, thanks for the support.

I will say that some of the variants etc. were meant to mitigate the damage done by bigger campaigns launching and stay afloat. Hope that makes sense.

Should say that I liked the decks a lot but I'll wait to get what I want in the aftermarket. I do think gilding is getting massively overdone and would prefer that campaigns focus on getting a couple variants right and if you want to do gilding offer it like Lorenzo has done on Eye of the Ocean.
