Cabinetarium by ArtofPlay

Unread post by Harvonsgard »

Latest teaser from ArtofPlay reveals a tuck which most probably belongs to the cards that an illustrator posted on his profile with the hashtag Cabinetarium. Promising.

This deck name appears in the list of potential Mystery decks, I've seen quite a few people post now about what they've got and this is the only one that nobody seems to have found yet.

Exactly my thought, too. The mystery sale just started thought so, I guess we'll see them soon.

Cool art, but from the faces shown so far (apart from the 6oH) it's just that - cool art, with indices tacked on.

I'd take Sunish's Bosch deck over this any day.

I do agree. Just looking at the 6oH this had good potential for a very nice transformation deck, however i'm also a huge fan or art decks so i've no real problem with it. This deck will make up nicely by those of us who were burned by the Cabinet of Curiosities Kickstarter deck that never shipped as well.

+1. I would have loved to see some kind of integration into the playing card format. Regardless, the artwork is solid and I am pleased to see the designer's name so prominent on the tuck box. Very cool!

Attractive, but at $25 a piece or Β£22? Too rich for my blood... I really a good portion of that profit goes to the artist, not Art of Play.

Not sure what drove the price THAT high. Much as I like the deck, I think this is a pass for now for me.

As soon as I saw the teasers, the ad copy and the reference to the illustrator behind the design I knew it's gonna have a $20 to $25 dollar price tag - not the best thing when the πŸ’°-twins pair up with a well established designer. I guess everyone gets a nice chunk from this project.

P.S.: Nice lesson for all the new guys in regards how serious to take ad copy; last time I checked Cabinetarium was claimed to be mystery deck exclusive. Just like Makers Private Reserve was not for sale πŸ˜‰.

Always assumed Cabenetarium was only mystery deck exclusive for a while. Disappointing to see that be for ten days.

This is quite nice though - it is more towards a non-poker deck!
The artworks quite nice, and everything around is just great. Though it's quite a bummer it's costly. I wonder if this can be compared to Playing Arts as in pricing

PS: You may check the Rogue Gallery, I've got mine which has one card that the artwork almost got cut-off
