Very pleased with the tweaks.

OH HELL YES, WILL DEFINITELY GET THIS ONCE IT'S OUT
I feel this is better than before!!!! Correction - FAR WAY BETTER than before! Although the previous version still great nonetheless. Hope this new one will have a lot of prints so that all get a chance to grab one of these.

I found the V2 too dark overall. This one looks much better. Darn it, JR! Stop coming up with even more ways to take our money! You're worse than Lotrek. :D

Oh, by the way, I've just receive my FIRST Legal Tender Holographic Deck which I ordered during it's first release, arrived after two months. This is the video I posted in my Instagram which I take out the deck from the bubble wrap:
https://www.instagram.com/p/CEs2g5rFdR1 ... _copy_link

I am disappointed at the fact that the cellophane has been tampered - thanks a lot, Indonesia's customs; them b****** think that I bring in counterfeit money haha {Jackson's did a perfect job making this deck as close as a real US notes}. Luckily this one I want to open up - I just even up the cellophane to clear the opening of the deck. On a bright side, at least I don't have to use that tear stripe. HOPEFULLY, my other 1st Holographic Legal Tender will arrived safe and sound.

PHOTOS OF the deck coming soon to my Instagram and on this thread. In IG, gotta spam my feed with a lot of photos of this deck.

Here is the new print run of Legal Tender with the court card alterations. The art hasn't changed, we only changed the process and approach of how we applied the ink. You can see, as we hoped and were expecting, the holo foil pops wayyyyy better now that we have knocked back the reflectiveness of the non holographic areas.

Yea, I skimmed through the messages and knew it'll be another type of this deck coming out whenever. Jackson got so much going on plus version 2 of things, I just wait until I see stuff posted on IG.

Just curious, is the version being sold now different from the version that was sold a few months ago that sold out? I'm only confused because it says "holographic V2" but it's technically the 3rd iteration of this deck, right? But the 2nd holographic.

Also, I found this cool interview on the bicycle website: https://bicyclecards.com/article/an-int ... -robinson/ Definitely worth a read.

It's different. It's the updated holographic edition with a more muted holographic effect, hence, "holographic V.2"

The holographic effect in the V1 covered the entire card face while in the V2 it is focused more on specific elements of the design. A definite improvement.

Just got 1 for myself
And I notice that this v2 holo is not sold out so fast like the last one, so I am sure there will be more in stock for upcoming months

And Jackson said; he will print this more and more during the LiVe chat in IG, so everyone will be able to get one!

This version is definitely an improvement, but I'm not getting any for $20.00 until the handling gets better. EPCC China still doesn't do it for me. Jackson's Robin Hood deck, while utterly beautiful, handles horribly. I'm talking even worse than the original Legal Tenders, so that was a step backwards as far as handling is concerned. The Arthurian deck fanned pretty well with some minimal breaking in. But the calendering (dimple pattern) is so shallow it almost feels like a smooth finished deck so it will start clumping up much quicker, which doesn't bode well for long term usability. Hopefully EPCC China will keep tinkering with their finish and embossing so that future iterations of Legal Tender will handle well enough for me to pull the trigger.

sinjin7, I think Jackson's confusion was around your statement "This version is definitely an improvement". I took that to mean that the new version was visually an improvement over the first one. I think it might have been construed that you meant that it's handling was better than the previous version because your following comments were in regard to EPCC handling. My reading was that you were making general comments here based on the EPCC decks you have handled, which most recently included the KWP Robin Hood deck.

If I got that wrong, please let me know. I haven't ordered the second edition of the Legal Tender deck. However, I am sure I will at some point.

I thought sinjin's post made it seem as though he already handled the new deck, which he hasn't since it's only shipping out now. " but I'm not getting any for $20.00 until the handling gets better." how does he know the handling isn't better in this version since he doesn't have it yet.

Sorry about the confusion, Bradius and Harvonsgard are correct: the improvement I was referencing was the selective holo foiling on the v2 and I haven't bought any yet because I'll wait until the handling improves to an acceptable level. Jackson stated he would be trying to improve handling on his Chinese decks, and he has done so to a degree with Arthurian, and I'm guessing perhaps this v2 Legal Tender version has improved some as well. We'll find out soon enough.

Same tiny gripe here. And I can't believe I'm saying this but I wish the holofoil was used more sparingly on the faces. Still love the deck, though.
2020 Holo Version II arrived. I love it. It's the Goldilocks edition – not too plain and not too reflective – just right.

So with the Kickstarter version, I was very disappointed there were no holographic foil elements. With the Holo version, I was exactly disappointed but it was almost too shiny and reflective. Holo version II is the perfect balance, IMO. Holographic foil is used more judiciously and intentionally on certain elements of the cards which makes them pop, rather than the faces being overloaded with holographic foil and those elements not standing out and just blending in because the whole card is so reflective.

TL;DR. Holo Vetsion II is dope and I have no gripes with it.

To tell the decks apart from looking at the tuck boxes, the new (best) version is denoted with Version II on the bottom of the tuck.

Happy to report the handling (at least fanning) is 1000% better. Still on the stiffer side but these actually slide really well - better than most foiled decks outside of Cartamundi. Seriously impressed with the improvement.

It's all about personal preference. I now have both and did some comparisons. I don't know which one to keep yet, I'll leaning to liking the Ver.2 better. Ver.1 has the shiny edges.

I just got my Version 2 deck today. The handling is fine. They seem to fan fine and are plenty slippery out of the box. But they are THICK. So thick that I had a hard time getting the tuck open. I'm guessing this is why they don't spring very well. (With enough time I'm sure they would loosen up, but I'm not planning on beating this deck up that much.)

But to be fair, this isn't a cardistry deck. Regularly handling this deck, and all the wear and tear that comes with that, does this deck a huge disservice. This deck and tuck are stunning to look at and that's what I got it for. Wasn't sure I wanted to spend $20 on this version since V1 was $15, but after having opened up and looked at my deck, I have zero regrets that I bought this deck. If you collect decks for the art, this deck should be in your collection.

Nice job Jackson.

He did say that the cards were made the same way as the V1, which had the same issues.
