Had some Halloweenish stuff arrive but it's somewhere else. I'll snap something later probably. (maybe if I remember) This stuff came and got a snippity snap. All new to my collection. I'm not all anti-bridge sized decks like some folks are. They're playing cards and I like playing cards.
TL:DR It's completely up to you.

How is the Christmas Story deck? If it's standard courts then it's definitely a missed opportunity lol

(Making up for what I suspect will be a skidmark of a covidlicious christmas with some nonsensical and gloriously cheesy holiday decks this year.)NativeTongue wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 11:29 am How is the Christmas Story deck? If it's standard courts then it's definitely a missed opportunity lol
I'll let you know next month when the deck gets popped and dropped into the holiday cheer EDD rotation. Like you I'm hoping for some nice nonstandard courts. I've got one of the national lampoons Griswald decks on the way as well for some holiday deck shenaniganry.

Re: The "Hey, look what I added to my collection!" thread
Snagged a creepy camp and a gypsy. The gypsy was a couple bucks shipped, happiness. Couple more Christmas decks, Krampus v 2 and finally that one you see there with the dwarves hauling what nots around because Santa wills it! I'm sure it's supposed to be endearing somehow I find it rather toward the other end, somewhat horrific actually. Which makes me laugh and thus, love that tuck. Don't stop beating that drum or Santa's gonna give ya a proper branding!

A beautiful deck made in Spain by Fournier 1981. European Naval Powers in the 16th century. Gold gilded corners. Came in a nice box with sleeve.

The "thumbnail" is a separate file to the actual photo and the Exif orientation flag was probably lost when it was resized.

Got my DOTY reward from Kellar O'Neil plus an extra 2020 deck. Extra thanks for that. Mail man also delivered Apoteosi set, so it was a nice mail day.

Little treat for myself, still chipping away at my S17 collection, 58 unique decks and variants now. If anyone is selling, please be sure to give me a shout.

Re: The "Hey, look what I added to my collection!" thread
I recently acquired two older Finnish decks. The other one is called Vaakuna, but I don't know the name of the other one. Vaakuna deck is still sealed, but it seems to have the same courts as L&H (bird) cards - only more vintage looking than the modern version L&H that I have.
The one that is opened is like a mini deck. I have seen similar court cards in some Russian decks.
These are pre 1963 cards as Finnish markka was renewed that year so that e.g. 100 mk became 1 mk and so on.

I know nothing about the above website mentioned in redux's post but it appears to be a bad website. I would suggest not clicking on it and removing it from the post.

Re: The "Hey, look what I added to my collection!" thread
My Inner Circle package arrived this week. Packaged very well as always.
I really like when the package comes from EU and not outside. I have a few stuck at customs for one and a half months already...

Re: The "Hey, look what I added to my collection!" thread
Not just you, haha. I have an original one but the tuck box is almost completely falling apart and the tuck flap is missing, so I had to get a better condition one. Weirdly blue ones seem to be harder to find than red ones. I've seen a second version on eBay but never a blue one of the No.2 version (has shading on the tuck box - same artwork), only a red one and only once.

Wow, that's a fantastic haul. Great mix of older and newer. Was this an estate sale that you snapped up?

Re: The "Hey, look what I added to my collection!" thread
I sent a blue and red version off the Islenzk deck to a fellow collector last year. I assume they picked it off of eBay. Yeah, I drooled a bit on the tuck. Sorry about that.
I think I have the red version of the Islenzk deck. I forget where I picked it up, but probably on eBay as well.

I have a weakness for all Iceland decks. Went there about 4 years ago with my daughter for her high school graduation and loved it.
Here is a pic of my Islenzk decks.

Re: The "Hey, look what I added to my collection!" thread
@rouselle - not a yard sale. I get stuff overseas over a certain period and then I get it shipped to ye Olde Europe. Kinda my own personal delayed shipping program.
@brownsnl - awesome collection. Especially the old ones in the middle are such a great condition for the age - guessing that those are original print runs and the others are reprints.
I'm kinda regretting not getting a set of those with the leather cases (they were dark brown/black) back when it was on eBay a while ago. But it went to a very good friend of mine so at least I know it's in good hands.
You might wanna look out for the No.2 then if you're so fanatic about it haha. Let's see if I can find the picture...

The real gem of this payload is hidden inside the white cardbox tuckcase and you will regret you haven't get loads of them, same as I do.

Hi Evelyne,
You are apparently responding to a very old post on this thread by Bob. I am sending you a PM (private message). Warmest regards.
