I have really enjoyed all of Riffle Shuffle's recent projects. This is a really cool idea.
I've spent way more than I care to admit on playing cards, but I'll still buy just about anything that Lorenzo, Jackson, or Gio make.

I just opened by 666 shipment yesterday and literally said "I hope Riffle doesn't put anything out again for awhile...". At least on the plus side, the chance to get a gilded deck is now attached to the 2 set option, instead of requiring 3 as usual.

TL;DR: Yup
All non PRC-printed LPCC/EPCC decks are printed there. Stocks are mostly on the stiffer/snappier side. All old non-USPCC KWP decks are printed there, too.

I am not really looking at this as a Riffle Shuffle deck as much as a Srdjan Vidakovic deck, who was the artist for the Planets series. I love is work, so I am in.

Wait what? I thought EPCC was its own playing card factory, same for LPCC. I guess hearing them in the same breath as the USPCC, I figured they were the same sort of entity. So EPCC and LPCC are what exactly?Harvonsgard wrote: ↑Thu Oct 01, 2020 1:35 pmTL;DR: Yup

They're basically just producers working with the factory as well as designers. Like GW or Will Roya.PiazzaDelivery wrote: ↑Thu Oct 01, 2020 4:20 pmWait what? Hue hue hue, that's most probably the reason why they choose the name ...PCC. Assumptions and implications are a pretty darn good marketing tool.
What fuels the wrong assumption is that everyone writes "printed by EPCC" in their campaign or ad copy, which semanticly might be correct but yah they don't own printing facilities.
Outsourcing kinda normal especially when it comes to everyday goods. Nike for example has never owned a shoe production plant. Your low budget $20 no name sneackers are made in the exact same plant in Vietnam or Indonesia like your $200+ latest hypebeast kicks.

I don't wear nikes. I wear Broken Homme shoes that are made in Los Angeles. They are not cheap shoes, but they do last a long time if you take care of them a little.
https://www.brokenhomme.com/
After over two years of wearing them, I am just now replacing the heals for the first time. I still don't need replace the soles yet. Great shoes, Goodyear welts. Fine materials and craftmanship. Ya know, the devil's in the detail! (to bring it sort of back on topic).

Re: Devil's in the Detail Playing Cards by Widakk Design x Riffle Shuffle on KS
I have to say that I am really loving the look of this deck. I have been happy with RS premium decks as of late, especially the 666 decks. Although they do milk it a bit with the add-ons and stretch goals, they are great looking decks with good overall quality. And the artwork on this one is just fantastic. Does this artist remind anyone else of Mark Stutzman? Not in the art style itself but in the way so many little cool "details" are snuck in. Just neat-o.

It's worth noting that the back of the Rose Gold deck has hot foil. For $16 (shipped!) I'm very much in.

These are really nice. First time seeing Srdjan Vidakovic‘s artwork and I like it. There’s a bit of a Whispering Imps meets Origins feel to these. In.

Riffle Shuffle has started to fulfill these pledges, and some sets are now available on the secondary market.
Last night I stayed up late playing poker with Tarot cards. I got a full house and four people died.

Re: Devil's in the Detail Playing Cards by Widakk Design x Riffle Shuffle on KS
I got mine, and absolutely love them. What a fun deck for card night! Everyone loved them. The cards are a bit snappy and stiff, but I had no issue with that. The art is just superb on the courts and the fun of looking for the hidden devils in each card added more enjoyment to the experience. Although I did find an angel on one of them. Maybe a sign of a future corresponding Angels deck? Do not hesitate to buy this deck.

Re: Devil's in the Detail Playing Cards by Widakk Design x Riffle Shuffle on KS
Just got my halfbrick (as well as a couple decks from the Atlantis campaign) and I must say, I'm disappointed in the tucks. I think I've found the area where RS has cut back in order to justify their reasonable pricing.
The stock they've used is, in my opinion, inadequate for the level of detail that the art demands. The design looks spotty in certain areas, especially those where the details are finer. The paper used is too flimsy for the amount of embossing, leaving giant depressions and unevenness across the front and back. The side flaps are so large that the edges of the actual "tuck" portion is impossible to retract without severely bending, or risking tearing the top of the box. The cards themselves are great, but the boxes leave much to be desired.

Agreed. What a fantastic deck throughout. It was ny vote for DOTY as well as in many other categories. Just wish the tuck was a bit bigger an not so tight. I ripped the tuck flap on both my decks opening them. Yes, surprisingly I opened it. I had to see that gorgeous art! And anyways I am a semi-tuckist. The gilded ones are staying nice and sealed

As per my comment above, I had the same trouble with the tuckboxes for both DitD and Atlantis. Tore the top of one of my Rise editions after trying every which way to carefully pry it open. RS needs to upgrade the stock used for the tucks, I'd gladly pay extra for that.james001a wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 5:39 am Agreed. What a fantastic deck throughout.
