Do you promise?
Seriously though, I like that foil back. The whole thing seems a little too colorful and "all over the place" to be cyberpunk. An overall NO but I'd love to see something more done with a back like that. Maybe a Grid 4.0 MetalLuxe series!? Someone call 4PM!

Lel... praised be the gods that this won't be reprinted. Will be hard enough to sell 2,000 copies of this anyways.

Re: Cyberpunk Origin by Acelion
This is probably the most interesting "cyberpunk" deck that I have seen.

Where were these printed and by which company, and what finish do they use?

Printed in China by AceLion...not sure what finish they use, but they have been putting out a lot of decks recently. Don't know much else as this is not my style of deck.EndersGame wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 5:20 pm Where were these printed and by which company, and what finish do they use?
A deck a day helps keep the addiction at bay!

Re: Cyberpunk Origin by Acelion
On another forum someone claimed that these were printed with the new Viper Finish that LPCC/EPCC is producing out of China.
I'm sceptical because these already came out in 2020, and I thought that the forthcoming Copperhead deck was the first deck to be printed with that finish.

It will come as no surprise to Harvonsgard, but these can still be had for $15 from x-decks

Re: Cyberpunk Origin by Acelion
Great photos. As I understand it, Acelion is WJPC's higher-end brand.
So these would look and handle like most WJPC decks we've seen so far?

Re: Cyberpunk Origin by Acelion
Got some clarity on this from Patrick of Zealous Star, who is Kingstar's US reseller
WJPC and kingstar used to be one company. Then they had some disagreements and split up. WJPC focus more on game cards than playing cards, and kingstar now only focus on playing cards, cardistry related stuff

Re: Cyberpunk Origin by Acelion
These cards were probably the biggest surprise of my collection. I wasn't sure what to expect when I got them and I was blown away. The color scheme is fantastic and obviously the artwork is quite unique and badass. I got the holographic gilded edges and the deck still handles like a dream. Such a win from Acelion. Great pictures!
"But why male models?"

Re: Cyberpunk Origin by Acelion
I recently picked up a copy of this deck, and can confirm it is from WJPC.
Here's a few more images, showing the Jokers, number cards, and tuck box. I could have done without the profanity inside of the tuck case, but the way the cards load sideways into a sleeve, which then slides into the main tuck case is pretty cool.
The cards themselves are very vibrant and bright, and the borderless back design with a blue circle in the middle especially lends itself well to cardistry.
I'm guessing that this must be WJPC's 300gsm German stock, because the cards handle beautifully, very much like USPCC's crushed stock.
