Re: eBay auctions posted by people on crack
Well, Arthurian was before the Subscription program. But, yeah it is toward the last of his designs, not the first half.
It is interesting now to look at Jackson’s Kickstarter projects as finished as he is not planning to use them in the future. This would make Invocation his last Kickstarter project. It certainly had its share of delays as I only recently received my legacy set. I am sure that having backers wait so long is one reason to do this differently in the future. That plus the Kickstarter and backerkit fees.
So I kind of look at Arthurian as one of his later Kickstarter projects.

I guess that question is settled now after Brad Fulton launched his revamped website. It's the Ace Fulton's Casino Cowboy Denim.

That’s insane. I guess if somebody is willing to pay $1200 for a deck, that’s what they’re worth but good grief...

That just lets you know how much of a bargain they will be when they go on "sale" for $75 each.

I doubt that they'll ever go on sale. They don't exist anymore. USPCC destroyed them and only 6 or 7 survived that massacre.

Hah, that was one I wasn't fast enough to get. I hate having that hole, but not $700 worth of hate. In fact, the longer time goes by, the less I care. I kinda like that $150 in my pocket...Wait. Did I give it to Lotrek...or was it Lorenzo...Gio...Montenzi? I forget...its definitely not in my pocket anymore.

Re: eBay auctions posted by people on crack
I don't think they actually want to sell. I think that's out there just in case someone wants to give them 700.00 USD for it. Sometimes it's fun to dangle the hook and see if something bites the thing right? That's all that makes sense to me anyway.

Winner winner, chicken dinner. I put a pair of hard to find sunglasses up on eBay a few years ago for a solid chunk O’ change and got way more than even I bargained for when it got into a bidding war between a guy in Hong Kong and John Mayer (the guitar guy) of all people. I thought Inwas robbing somebody at $500 but ended up getting almost $2000 for a pair of shades... you just never know what’s gonna happen...

That is exactly the reason I snipe on eBay most of the time and just forget about it. Honestly, I don't go on eBay much lately. I did recently, and my snipe was beat. Oh well, maybe another time. You gotta be good about walking away. If not, to war you go! and bring lots of cash.

Re: eBay auctions posted by people on crack
This is my tack also... wait until the last two minutes, make a max bid and check your email 5 minutes later. If I win, great, pay up and wait for the item to ship. If I get outbid, too bad. The auctions already over and I still have my $$$ in pocket.Bradius wrote: ↑Tue Sep 01, 2020 1:01 pm That is exactly the reason I snipe on eBay most of the time and just forget about it. Re: eBay auctions posted by people on crack
Digest this how you will, but in my humble opinion as someone who has seen every Lotrek deck in person, this deck is worthy of being among his most expensive. Again, my opinion, but as tucks go, it's better than ICONS Reverse and just as rare as the numbers go. A deck is of course worth what someone is willing to pay for it, and all things being equal, if everyone had the opportunity to see all of Lotrek's decks in person, even if the Grotesk design isn't one's favorite, the tuck is insanely gorgeous. No pictures I've seen or taken do it any sort of justice.
In fact, after having to sell off most of my collection due to recent circumstances, this deck is one of the select few I'll be clinging to for dear life. It's remarkable in person.
So, for the person willing to pay for an ICONS Reverse, I feel this deck is worth at least the same consideration!

Re: eBay auctions posted by people on crack
It's not a buyers market on items are truly rare and sought after. It's a sellers market. Point blank, no cocaine nor bleach involved the seller has it and can ask whatever price they damn well please.
The cocaine cut with bleach snorting crack user is the buyer who pays the price.
(Whoever that is has a serious addiction problem or more money than sense)
Now if it's a common item like say for example plastic coated competitors to bikes. Pick one, there's hundreds of them. If that's posted for $725 USD, seller is absolutely on crack. I won't argue that at all.

I am glad I am not the only one agreeing that Simon is not totally crazy. The Grotesk Silver Bronze is, by the numbers, essentially as rare as the Reverse Icons. I would rather get it than a Reverse Icons. Even if someone offered me $725 for mine, they wouldn't change hands. But, that is me.

I'm usually the very last to criticize, but Blue Golden Oath for $990 shipped: https://www.ebay.it/itm/402410376365
Yowza. He's got a few more auctions up with some rare stuff, but as high prices go, I think there's a new king to be crowned here, lol.
