What are the dice for?
If you buy a poker set it contains - most times - cards, chips, buttons (dealer, sometimes even SB, BB) and dice. I always wondered what are the dice for? Is there really a poker variant that involves dice? Or are they just for other casino games?

Playing craps I think
Left my heart in SIERRA MADRE

I dream of a world where wars are fought only by having dance offs. I also dream that a Finnish playing card designer would exist. The former seems more likely to happend.

Re: What are the dice for?
There is a game called poker dice but these dices are pretty specific: 5 dices representing playing cards. If you have "standard" casino dices included, it's usually there for the sake of it, in case you want to play craps as Roope already stated. It's good to have a little gambling on the side when you're out of the table.

Nope. Deck spread - everyone picks a card, highest card deals first. Why should I carry around a die just for that?

Re: What are the dice for?
Traditionally a Poker set is thought to be or marketed to be a gambling set so they include a pair of dice. The two dice are for gambling games like craps, street craps, under over, etc. To my limited knowledge there is no poker dice game that uses two dice because a poker hand is five cards. I honestly have no idea so there could maybe be one however, I doubt it. The other dice games are just too simple, fast and easy to play.
TL:DR It's completely up to you.
