Those are nice indeed. I think Liturgy is somewhat under appreciated. I am beginning to think the Cartomancer uncut is a lot rarer and in demand than I would have imagined. I hope you are a Lorenzo Patreon now.

ya i have been a Patreon for a month or so. I asked Lorenzo a while back but he had none of the uncuts left and said there weren't really all that popular, only 70 made. Luckily Spectre had one and was selling I owe that man a lot!

Re: The "Hey, look what I added to my collection!" thread
I got a bridge sized gem in the post and I was considering not showing it. Since it's one of those decks folks don't often admit is in their collection. Well I'm admitting it and it's in the collection! Interestingly it was shipped in a soft plastic sleeve that is wound tightly around the tuck. I'm leaving it on there so it will continue to contain, all, that.

Re: The "Hey, look what I added to my collection!" thread
Ka pow and hamburgers sounds like a covers band.
I expected to pick up a single deck today. Cleared customs in Sydney on Saturday. Travel the 500 or so miles to Melbourne on Sunday. A day to get through sorting. Pick up from my PO box on Tuesday... Get to my PO box and there's no GW single box and no "please come to the hatch" card thing in the box.
OK. Not unusual. Go to the hatch anyway to make enquiries.
"Sorry, our tracking hasn't updated since July 22 (leaving Chicago).

Re: The "Hey, look what I added to my collection!" thread
I received a gift yesterday from a non-playing card person. It's nice to receive a beer and a smile, it's another thing entirely when someone thinks of the nonsense you love and picks some of it up for you because you were on their mind or they think well of you. I think that kind of thing is pretty damn cool and I am more than pleased to share it here with a proud smile. Sometimes I consider myself a very lucky guy.

Re: The "Hey, look what I added to my collection!" thread
I got this John Player Special deck cheap on eBay after a pointer from PipChick. I had a similar one when I was a kid; I thought it was cool because it looked exactly like a packet of cigarettes.
This deck's tuck is hard plastic which is lucky as the seller posted it in an envelope with zero padding.

Nice snag! I'm digging on those snappy pips. I wish more people in ebay would use some advanced packaging tactics but I can understand most people just don't know better for playing cards.Timmargh wrote: ↑Tue Jul 28, 2020 7:11 pm I got this John Player Special deck cheap on eBay after a pointer from PipChick. Re: The "Hey, look what I added to my collection!" thread
I just received my Goetia Tarot yesterday. This is a massive set and lots to unpack. I know some folks didn't like the 3D rendering. I am fine with it. I was interested to see how the foiling would come out, and you can see some of it below. It looks like they went with a holographic foil sheen. Even so, it really is dark. Which, I am sure is the point. I am going to need to study up on my demonology some more. The set will go nicely with a set of related coins with I think the same demons from a completely different Kickstarter. The booklet has lots of information. I am also interested to see how it will contrast with their just closed companion tarot, Notoria (estimated delivery is September...2021!).
Below is the tarot box Below is a view of the entire set with some of the cards showing. I forget how many cards, but just under 100 cards.

Incredibly jealous of your S17 collection. There are a few decks in there that I did not know even existed. So, much for me to learn (and acquire) still!

Today I learned of the House of the Rising Spade Gatekeeper edition - I've heard it's name mentioned but just assumed that it was the same deck as the gold-on-black tuck box.

justplaycards - What an achievement! I love that picture of your S17 collection. Thank you for posting that delicious eye candy.
---------------------------------------------------Recent addition to my collection---------------------------------------------------------------
An Anne Stokes deck. I was poking around, as one does when it's hot as the flames of hell outside, on the ole compy and I saw this deck with really bad transition from indices to art. (Just the big white chop and slap the rank and suit indicators on there!) What was it? This Anne Stokes Age of Dragons deck and I had to have it! I'm not sure but I think it may be the only Anne Stokes deck I have. I'll have to check, sometime. As for the other deck I've been feeling nostalgic toward Jumbo decks lately, as I am half blind myself I'd used them fairly frequently in the past. It dawned on me that I actually didn't have a Jumbo Hoyle in my collection at all! So I snagged me up one.
Interestingly enough, most of my collection of playing cards are custom playing cards. By comparison I have very few bike recolors even though I do have a handful of bike branded decks. I'm finding a lot of joy in the ole standards lately, such as this nostalgic for me Hoyle Jumbo. Eh, maybe I'm just looking at it a bit skewed? After all my favorite and most used deck of all time is of course a standard deck.
Anyway, hope these wonderful additions to me collection give someone a smile.
