Last month we were approached by a company called 'Touch of Modern' who reserved all our remaining Vertex Deck units. We kept about 15 of each back for ourselves though, for the long term, so anyone who is desperate for one can PM me here and I'll make an arrangement. Before we can offer them though, we first just have to see exactly what Touch of Modern put them up for sale for. So I asked our web designer today to deactivate sales of Vertex Decks, so that people (here and buying from this opening sale) get the best possible deal. The bulk offer was just too good to turn down. This sites subscribers are apparently rich young men who buy gadgety / luxury stuff. The good thing is, these units will therefore go to 'normal' people (i.e non hardcore collectors) and they will no doubt open the great majority of them and play poker and games etc with them. So the original ones bought by our first backers on KS will probably be the only 'collected' / un-opened ones in circulation, in the long term. That will be only 50-75 of each type (Stars & Stripes + Black) kept un-opened long term. I like it that way, being a collector-type myself

We have a thread just for Touch of Modern in the General Playing Cards Discussion forum, where members post the various decks that show up on ToM's site. I don't think its being updated that much anymore since most long time collectors are well aware of the site by now. ToM basically buys overstock decks and liquidates them on their site. Occasionally some card designers got into hot water by using them because ToM would sometimes sell off the decks at prices lower than what they were offered for on Kickstarter or on the designers own site. Pretty much everyone has used ToM, from the big guys like Ellusionist, Theory 11, and Dan & Dave, to boutique designers like Jackson and Lorenzo, all the way down to fairly crappy novelty decks. I think I remember seeing the black Vertex deck on sale there a while ago but can't recall the price on ToM.

I see, thanks for the info. Obviously this is all new to us, generally. The wholesale side of the business etc.

I actually just got off a pretty lengthy email exchange with them as they are in the middle of presenting the preview and letting me comment (I wasn't happy - but then again, I never am and am super picky how our products are presented ) but I did also just get a glimpse of their prices:

Vertex Deck Stars & Stripes = $249
Vertex Deck Black = $99

So basically double our Kickstarter prices.

Yes - The Vertex Deck Black was on last month (same price $99) and sold pretty well, but we only offered them 30, as a trial. Then they approached us to offer both units and take all our stock.

As you can see, we have been upfront and honest about this sale and hence why we disabled direct sales of Vertex Deck to you guys. What I can also honestly say is that we have far fewer units of the Vegas Diffractor (due to much higher KS sales and sales afterwards via PayPal) and that this stock will not be put 'on sale' anywhere ever. That's a guarantee.

Just ordered the Ultraviolet deck I missed, glad to be getting the cello gold as I'll be able to keep my gold deck sealed... That's been a tough chore...

There was an email from Andrew a while back, saying they cannot ship to some countries due to Covid...

UPDATE August 4th: good news, received information that all orders were shipped this week. That makes me really happy as I'm really looking forward to playing with these beauties
